Question will an 05 sti fuel pressure regulator fit on a 05 wrx

i have an 05 wrx that has a 05 sti block and heads swap. the fuel rails are from the wrx. I need to replace the fuel pressure regulator so i wanted to know if i can replace it with an sti fpr. will it fit? The part numbers are different. but the price is about the same. I will be buying new oem.

Pretty sure they wont fit. They are located in different places on the fuel rail

They will not fit. The regulators are actually exactly the same in function, meaning your not gaining anything by running an STi 1 vs a WRX, 1 if your looking for something better then the stock WRX 1 buy an aftermarket 1. If not the WRX and STi 1's are the exact samething they are just shaped a little different because of how the bolt up to the rails, hence them being different numbers.

nice thank you for that masta splint. as far as an aftermarket one do you have any ideas that will not brake the bank? or better yet how bout some names to stay away from. If i do go aftermarket I would like to have a fuel pressure gauge what do you think would be a good set up without running fuel lines in cabin?
