Default New Guy Here

whats up everyone, Im currently looking for a WRX and came across this site to learn all the pros and cons about the car. I Currently have a 350z and 240 with a RB20 but i plan on selling them soon so i can get an AWD DD. Looking at a 2002 WRX, I heard they start having issues at 130k? hopefully someone can shed some light on what i should be looking for as far as issues goes.

Welcome! To be honest is all comes down to maintainence as to when they will have issues. You could have one with 60K that has been abused and be in worse shape than one with 130K on it! My Stage 4 03 has 160K on stock internals and trans with no issues but I keep it maintained well. Hope that helps a little

Exactly, I've seen a bunch on newer WRX's and STI's that have been flogged, never maintained, with owners wondering why their car is broken. Just treat any WRX or STI you may purchase well, keep it maintained and it will entertain you for years.

Wow, forgot about this thread, instead of making a new thread decided to raise this one from the dead. So I decided to wait to buy a new 2014 STI instead of a used older model. As of right now I keep going back and forth between Sedan and hatch as well as WRB and SWP. I do like the Sunroof option on the Sedan and that's the only thing that would lead me to buy the sedan. I like to hear from other peoples opinions between the hatch vs sedan.

Personally I like the looks for the hatch better. Not too much difference otherwise. Also that hatch has a wee bit more utility! Go with your gut bud.
