Surprisingly, bike color does not correlate with reduced risk. Yellow helmet is as good as white. 37% risk reduction, not 100% risk reduction.

Texting drivers scare the ISHT out of me - they don't see anything.

From a rider who hasn't ridden in a few years..

When I'm driving, I notice the obnoxious flashy blinky shaky headlights ALL the time. Daylight and everything. Definitely makes you as a rider more visible.

Dear driver of the black Corvette on Rt. 287,

Nice job flying up the 4th lane for exit 40A, continuing through the shoulder when the lane exited, then picking up the lane for exit 40B... only to squeeze back into traffic when that lane ended. I hope that giant chunk of truck tire you nailed (and tossed two feet in the air) while riding the shoulder damaged something on your phallic compensator.

Regards,
Waiting in traffic.

Dear Precious,
You drive exactly how I would expect someone who put fake chrome vents on a Yaris' hood to.

Aggressively in a parking lot. I don't think it matters how much time you save pulling into that spot at 20mph, because it'll be lost on your waddle into the store.

Dear Prius driver, are you really so lazy that you can't remove the sun shade from your windshield? Driving by you peering over the top 3rd of your windscreen is a bit disconcerting.

Dear Volvo driver on Rt 101 today in Temple NH. When you see multiple warning signs, flashing lights, and then the crews painting the solid white lines along the right-hand side of the road ...

... why did you feel the need to drive thru the wet paint, for over 100 feet? I was the vehicle right behind you, and attempted to swerve to avoid all the fresh white paint you were kicking up. F-YOU

Unfortunately, the front of my car and windshield now have paint all over it, and the car behind me also got hit.

Dear Explorer towing the huge trailer on 160 GTF out of the left lane. When a steady stream of cars are passing you on the right you should get a clue.

Dear passenger of the red neon car in the walmart parking lot.

I felt bad for the girl driving so i helped to jump your car, just because i can tell you what is wrong with your car, and i have a nice car does not means i want to do work for you for free, nor does it mean that you need to talk to me about cars when you clearly have no idea what your talking about, we can talk about something else, just dont ask me if my subaru wrx is running a 350.... really? a chevy v8?? you just make yourself look dumb... if you were the driver sir, i would have told you that my jumper cables were broken, because you would have believed it.

So he's the jerk for trying to make conversation? And because someone isn't into cars and doesn't know much about them you would refuse to help them? Sounds like your gonna be a great addition to this community.

Dear, VW Passat Driver, with the sideways Yellow hat..

I hope you enjoy the ticket you got today for passing me, and the unmarked cruiser directly in front of me. Did you forget we were in a double yellow line duration of the road... Maybe the blue plates on that ford might have been a sign?

Your feeble attempt to show off your fart cannon didn't impress me, but you did make my morning! Thanks man!

Probably got bagged by the lady statey that's always over there patrolling. Heard she doesn't play games.

Dear woman (big shock) in the silver 2014 Forester,

You want to know why the temporary lanes on the right side of the highway are called "merge lanes?" It's because they are for people coming off the entrance ramps to merge onto the highway. They are not "dart out of traffic during rush hour and pass as many people as possible before the lanes ends" lanes.

In all honesty, it's people like you that give the rest of us Subaru drivers a bad name.

Sincerely,
Waiting in traffic

Dear police officer sitting in the shoulder of the ramp from Rt. 10 to Rt. 287,

Thanks for flagging that black Volkswagen over to join the other 5 cars you nabbed when he squeezed behind me into the exit ramp at the last minute. Seeing you write tickets to those "lane jumpers" makes my day!

Sincerely,
Justice is served

Dear everyone,

Thanks for most of you being considerate while I was towing a truck frame through NJ, NY, and CT. It was my first time towing and for the most part other drivers caused me no pain. Also thanks to the black SUV (Ford Edge? Hyundai, idk) who cut me off by using the very end of an entrance ramp to whip around me. You just made it, congrats. Also thanks to the people who don't realize that changing lanes with a trailer is best done slowly. But for the most part people were accommodating. Weird.

Also, sorry for taking my trailer on the Saw Mill Parkway.

Dear Fiat 500 Abarth owner,
While I enjoyed having you pace me and feather the throttle to make your exhaust burble and pop on the overrun, I could barely hear you over my own rumblings. I did not enjoy having you do WOT pulls next to me as if you expected me to open the taps and 'race' you. 495 North between the pike and 290 is not a racetrack and rush hour is far from the ideal time for you to show off your meager power to weight ratio. Please sell your car and buy a prius because you're giving enthusiasts a bad image.
sincerely,
the unamused LS1RX7 driver

Dear beat up buick (whatever it was) driver,

I understand that you don't see many decent cars during the day, but there is no reason to absolutely rev the hell out of your engine while sitting in back of me at Dunkin Donuts, then proceeding to peel out after I leave the parking lot, pulling up next to me in bumper to bumper traffic, and attempting to spin your tires only to have your engine start smoking. I know you were smiling with your friend in your car, but ****ting yourself on the inside. It wasn't cool, or awesome, or anything other than funny that you probably just destroyed what little life your car had left.

Sincerely, wrx owner who was just trying to get a bagel at work break.

Must be the time of year. I just had the same exact accident in Cambridge MA riding my bicycle (bicycle lane of course), which is in a plethora of different pieces now. I barely saw it coming in time but somehow came out pretty much unscathed even after being thrown over the guy's hood and windshield. They must be handing out licenses because people just can't seem to drive heads-up anymore.

Would have been a lesser loss if I had been hit on my motorcycle (S-Works Roubaix )
