Default VF37 Twinscroll - billet compressor wheel upgrade - 11 blades vs Dual 6 blades

I'm thinking of upgrading my twinscroll VF37 with a billet compressor wheel (30% lighter, 49.6 mm / 61.98 mm (Inducer / Exducer)).

I have two options: 11 blade design or dual 6 blade design.

What would be the pros / cons for each one (spool, top end, middle torque)?

I've done it on mine - not sure where the 30% lighter comes from I think it was more like 4 - 6 grams

I went for the GTX style 11 blade version

cons have to get the cover machined as its a bit bigger than stock + you then need to balance the CHRA

pros pulls hard to redline

Bringing this back from the dead here, but what exactly has to be machined? I'm about to purchase a vf37 and the guy is including an 11 blade billet complete chra. He says it's just a drop in package. So any info would be great.

The compressor cover and the CHRA need machining (unless the new wheel is the same size as the stock wheel)

The inducer is about 4mm bigger and the exducer maybe 2mm bigger on the Kinugawa GTX style wheel

If the seller is saying drop in its possibly a smaller / stock size wheel or it's already been machined

It's worth noting when I purchased the kinugawa compressor it was sold as just an upgraded VF37 wheel no mention that you need to machine anything to fit it ~

Hmm alright, well it's a 6star speed complete chra and he claims that all I need to do is basically bolt the compressor and turbine on
