16 year old in an STI, yes.

Kid must launch all day long and just sit at the rev limiter for awhile in each gear. Poor car.

I saw a lady a week ago driving a Hyundai with a flat tire, driving it up against the curb, destroying her hub caps. Didn't bother stopping.

The picture doesn't show it well but there are parts (chunks) of the belt attached to the pulleys. The heads are junk. Cracks from the spark plug tube to the valve seats and severely warped.

He goes to the local area for street racing every Friday and Saturday. At least my friend says he was there almost every weekend

Steep ramps into parking lots. My car is barely 6 months old and I've darn near tore the bottom off already

And I wish people would stop buying Exedy singles as those are the worst clutches ever. Buddy of mine stripped it to the rivets in one day of use. Yeah, he was drag racing it but NO CLUTCH should be one day use only. Exedy told him to get bent on replacement.

Unless he's pushing 8000+ horsepower.

I don't have any pictures, but the truck I just bought had sheet metal screws screwed between the battery post and terminal clamp since the clamps were too big. First thing I did was stop at the parts store and picked up some post shims.

I agree... I mean when brand new they are 4.6mm of material. Worn out is 3.1mm. In 4K miles he is at 3.2mm now.

New favorite thread. There are very few threads that I'll go page by page from start to finish all the way through in one sitting.

Friend begged me to drive an hour/half across nyc, only to make sure his mechanic put his new air filter in correctly At that point i was really hoping he had a hexagonal air box and a circle filter just to make my trip worth it

Addition: went to pick up oil for my fathers new Elantra, grey shirt at Autozone (a manager) insisted the car was Japanese, and was relentless on it.

And to think I'm trusting these guys with parts.

Out here we have pack rats that will build a nest on top of your motor and strip all of the wiring. It happened to my buddy twice in the last year. Lots of rewiring each time. He is now throwing scoopfuls of used kitty litter (cat pee) in the engine bay to discourage them. It seems to work. Caveat: DON'T DO THIS WITH STRAY TOMCATS AROUND.

The previous owner never replaced the cabin air filter in 67k miles. Replaced it today...
