Default Crossmember turbo legacy VS. wrx ?

Hi all, i'm wondering if a wrx engine with the stock header pipes will clear a turbo legacy crossmember?
Reason i'm asking is because they don't look very alike on the driver's side. On the wrx crossmember there is a deeper indent where as on the turbo legacy one it is just level but sits down a little lower (but not much!).
Anyway actually tried this before?
Thanks
Brent

Here is one of many threads on the subject: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ht=crossmember .

Either one of them will work. The Legacy turbo crossmember is said to cause the engine to sit up a little higher, but the WRX crossmember requires shimming for the front control arm front bushings to sit without slop. Take your pick.
