Any luck on getting the center dash display hood off? I am pretty new to interior stuff. I can take a quarter panel off with my eyes closed but Im always afraid of breaking off clips/tabs with the interior stuff.

Haven't done much in the way of Mods for the Impreza in awhile. I've been busy focusing on an RS Revival. I still managed to take it on a Gravel Cruise and kick up some earth! T'was fun!

Been awhile since I've done any work to my '12 Impreza, especially since I've undertaken the RS Revival project. That doesn't mean I've stopped having fun or don't enjoy it any more.

Shelby has been whipping around gravel and dirt roads recently. During the Gravel Express Cruise, a friend drove the RS while I helped coordinate things in my Hatchback. It handled quite well through turns and, even on All-Season tires, kept enough grip to keep me on course.

Later that week, my friend and I took it out in search of a road a fellow owner had pointed out to us south of Glenwood, IA. Pease Rd certainly appeased our needs as we slid through corners on gravel and then discovered quite the treat on a stretch of a jaw-dropping Minimum Maintenance Road.

I think we've found our next spot for another run through the woods. In any case, it's wonderful having a solid-driving car that I can just enjoy without having to fix something every 5 minutes like the RS. The wider grip from the WRX wheels and the suspension adjustments with the 19mm STi RSB and Kartboy Endlinks have really made this a fun car to drive. Sure it's "development" is on hold while I focus on helping a more desperate cause, but I'm still proud of this car.

Thanks! I've much enjoyed watching my car's twin progress, too (aka yours).

The only bit I'm missing from Sport Trim is the roof rails. Got the side skirts on a bit ago (though they're not body colored like yours).

You said you plastidipped the grill accents first, but liked it enough to paint it. What kind of paint did you use to match the rest of the grill? My main concern is that the blacks wont match...

I used satin black Krylon fusion. Sanded the surface, first. Paint doesn't like to bond to that shiny chrome.

Hey I checked out "Help from a BRZ" but I was curious if u had any pics of the modifications that it took to get the exhaust to mate up. i.e. where the 3" was added to the mid pipe and how much the tips were extended to clear the bumper ( <those two items were all that my research showed was needed, please let me kno if those modifications are inaccurate..) Cheers!

Sorry for the late reply, tenaciousZ. Here's the pictures of the BRZ exhaust install.

You can see just near the rear control arm where the Impreza Exhaust ends and the BRZ Exhaust begins. The hangers don't need any modification. You'll need to cut into your bumper, though.

I used dual exhaust tips to give it that "WRX" look and hid the cut plastic edge with some Door Edge Guard from AutoZone.

Also, been getting a lot of messages recently about the tire size on the WRX wheels and STi RSB, so here's some answers to those FAQ.

I used 225/45R17s to wrap on the 17x8 '11+ WRX wheels. Little-to-no effect on the speedometer.

The 19mm STi RSB is off a '11+ STI Hatchback. I used the STi Bushings for it, as they fit in the stock Impreza brackets. The Kartboy End Links I got were from RallySport Direct.

hi, what is the offset of your wheels?

i'm having the hardest time deciding if i want 17 or 18 inch wheels. i thought 18 would look better but yours looks really good.

Been getting a pretty consistent flow of questions about this car and what's been done to it, so I thought I'd collect all the info and publish a page on my blog for it. Easily accessible from the top menu bar of the blog.

The car looks awesome. Brand new owner here of a '14 Impreza Sport. Really interested in the Exhaust Project. Came out incredible. Wish I had easier access to a shop

Thanks, guys! The OEM Side Skirts are literally ordered from Subaru. The exhaust, while not really loud or rumbly at all, looks great and I get a lot of compliments about it. Folks think it's stock!

Had some fun on some Dirt Roads again with the Impreza. Traction Control Nannies aside, this car is still a lot of fun on dirt and gravel. Got some fun pictures weaving through the back roads of the Waubonsie Loop.
