What'd you do to lift it? Been thinking about doing that myself...a lot of rutted roads, camping and deep snow have shown me I might need a little more space. Looks even meaner than I thought. Well done. How's it handle?

I have KSport Coilovers spun up to the max safe height and Subtle Solutions 1" Lift Spacers. It handles pretty good, but the ride is a bit harsher than stock suspension because of the stiff coilover springs.

How do you like the Conti's? I'm looking at the DWS in a 205/50-17. Is there much difference in look and drive with the 225/45?

I was on the fence between the DW and DWS. I have a dedicated winter wheel/tire set with Blizzak's, so wasn't too worried about an All-Season, but wanted something I could use in to early winter and spring or for long streaks of warmer weather during winter when I could take the Blizzak's off since they don't like warm weather. Everyone I talked to, and even Tire Rack reviews, were extremely up and down on the DWS, and people local said just go with the DW. Won't get near the ride, handling, or feel of the DW if you go with the DWS. Just have to be cautious in cold weather with the DW on being a harder compound. Ok, I can handle that. No second guessing once I got them. Oh, and wet weather driving is excellent, too, with these. And, yes, there is a noticeable size difference going from the stock 205 to these 225's. Definitely looks much better in there, especially looking straight on from front or rear of car. I always thought the 205's looked tiny in there! These definitely look better, no hit in gas mileage either. These 225's are supposed to be about 1 pound lighter, each, than stock RE92A's. So no downside, no rubbing, no issues what so ever. Would buy them again in a heartbeat. Thinking of getting the Continental ExtremeWinterContact, maybe, when the Blizzaks finally wear out. That happy with Continental so far. |

Thanks, I was torn as to which direction I wanted to go with the car. I've seen yours in the south hills before and it's sick. Unfortunately I had clearance issues getting to some mountain biking trails in the region so up was the only practical choice.
