Yes, you have to have participated in at last 3 previous events (with any club/clubs). When you register (online only) if the organizers don't recognize you you will get an email requiring you to prove you have done 3 or more events.

The experience requirement is to insure that you know how top be a safe corner worker since speeds will be greater than a normal event.

Here's hoping my stock brake pads don't catch fire... Lots of smoke last time.
Ordered some Goodyear Eagle F1's! Hopefully will be here and mounted tomorrow.
Just gotta break 'em in before Sunday

Oh I can't wait for this Sunday's SCCA TMS road course autocross!

On a side note..... the following Saturday Oct. 19th is the NTAXS autocross at TMS bus lot. Anybody planning on making this one??? We had a GREAT showing at the last one. Can we do it again???

Which F1's did you get?

Not sure when I'll be able to play yet, but I just got back from mounting some of McShane's 255/40/17 RS3 take-offs

Assuming the course hasn't changed, here's me driving it the last time they ran it (don't mind the missed shift and subsequent horrible driving. Or the low speeds, I was on 165-or-so-width all seasons and it was my first rwd car, that I only bought a few days before the event). I don't think they're allowed to change it without an official re-inspecting it, so from what it sounds like on the DFW Miata boards, it should be almost the same as this.

That looks like a blast... and fast. To drive the S2000 or WRX.... jeeze decisions decisions.

I'd say wrx I've never driven an s2k but I imagine they're better at transitions and the typical auto features like slalomy bits. This is more open and IMO would make the WRX more enjoyable than on a tight course? Who knows though. Ideally I'd say sign up with both and do double runs!

Yeah the S2000 is getting coilovers put on as we speak.... so I want to try it out but I haven't had a course where I could stretch the legs of the WRX either. I honestly didn't know you could sign up in two cars. I may just do that.

I was mostly joking, I'm not sure you can. I've only run with one club that allowed that, in upstate NY, and that was only because the workers were volunteers, not necessarily the drivers

Nice! I'm very curious to see how those perform, you'll have to keep us updated.

If its supposed to rain i'd say WRX...

Also I know the S2000 is prone to snap oversteer. So you will want to be a little careful since this looks like a faster course.

Went WRX. Gonna try for top speed over time this course considering I'm in ASP with the tune and other pieces. Just going to be okay with getting my ass kicked by that nasty Evo. Hahah

That was awesome. And, thanks to the magic of PAX class normalizing, I apparently "beat" Alucard7755--despite being significantly slower. Take that! But really, I should have signed up for D Stock because I'd have won that class (well, assuming the Novice D Stock mini who mopped the floor with me stayed in Novice...). No video because I (still) don't own a GoPro.

Great seeing you guys there! That's almost definitely my last event this season, and definitely a good way to end it.

It was a really fun event indeed. A little scary at first, then tons a fun after getting used to the faster speed.

Super fun event, even with the weather, that road course surface has so much freaking grip it's amazing. I wish you guys could have experienced it when it's hot...it's pretty awesome.

Was great to see some new faces and meet some of you guys!

Squidz what were you driving? It's hard to match NASIOC names with faces.
