Default can I use my friends map?

Hey huys I have a question let me start by discribing what's up. Well my friend has a 2011 wrx with aem intake invia catless DP and a invidia exhoust he was tuned by P&L. I oon the other hand have cobb AP and intake. SO if I bought all the things he has can I use his map? Or will it be unsafe for my engine I'm not sure because I've read that every car is different etc.

You can't directly load that tune, no. And there's too many variables for us to give you an answer. Only the tuner can know. You could always learn to tune yourself while comparing them to see what is changed. Then read about why. Then apply the knowledge...

No, if it were me I wouldn't do it. He doesn't just have an off the shelf map designed to fit every car the map was made for. It is a custom personal tune specifically made for your friends cars timing, af ratio etc.

His map may be locked to his AP serial number as well.

Most tuners lock their maps.

Your better off tuning your car on your own. I wouldn't risk it.
