Take the time while Cobb is working on the 2014 software to familiarize yourself with that which is Subaru. The NASOIC forums are a great place to start..

You might learn a lot more than you bargained for (at least I know I did).

Have they fixed the cracking firewalls on the new WRX's?

the issue was more on the 08-10 MY WRX from what i have read up on...its just spontaneous when it happens and pricy to fix

I would take the AEM out. Intakes require a tune.

What he said. You're risking damage to your engine running that intake on the stock map.

Why are you willing to risk damaging the engine on your brand new car? Just doesn't make sense. If anything, the car is probably performing worse than with the stock intake.

This intake experiment has already been done....

Read through that thread. A lot of good info as to why this is a bad idea...

So if I understand what you saying OP, you have a useless device at the moment until they release an update?

Can you not return it?
This is bad news as I was looking to get one myself for my 2014 WRX.

Another question, this device will log and you can then use it to upload tuned maps of your choice? or are you limited to what Cobb provides on the device?

What the OP did is not read anything and bought an AP. It's all over the internet that they don't have maps for the 14's yet, and it also isn't listed as supported on Cobb's site. Having the intake on and knowing that it's damaging the motor is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, do you also happen to drink bleach?

Will he drink the bleach before or after he blows his engine and SOA voids his warranty for running a mod that is not supported at this time? Just curious about that....

I am glad I found this thread... so I guess I will have to wait for Cobb.
From experience how long does it take for these update to happen?

If I remember correctly the updates for the 2013 were end of December or start of January (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The car was released in August or September so it's a few months.

Thanks for your patience guys. We are hard at work on supporting the 2014 WRX/STI and will be sure to update you when we know more. Keep in mind that we have to get access to a car in order to support it, then do a whole bunch of testing and re-testing to be sure we've got a great product available to you on Day 1.

Cheers

Lance

Yep still waiting on cobb so I can do the intake. So in the time it takes them I will be doing a namless axleback and all the engine dress up stuff along with a front strut tower bar. Already did my hid retrofit and led swap inside.

I have a question: Having a 2014 WRX, if I where to but the accessport, will I be able to use it as a gauge at least ? or does it not install at all?

Thanks

I was gonna buy one for my 14 wrx and rallysportdirect told me my best option would be to wait to see what cobb does. I was not very sure why they told me that and turned down a 650 dollar sale but I said ok and im going to use the money on other upgrades that do not require a tune.
