Without anyone looking the term up I can guarantee that almost nobody even knows its origin or what it means.

Basically:
Pre WW2 station wagon used for and designed for carrying hunting equipment and hunting parties. A far cry from the hatch/lift back wagon abominations a small minority keep asking for so they can correct someone every time they refer to the car as a wagon.

Sorry for the rant.
SHOOTING BRAKE!

Ooh, check this one out:

SHOOTING BREAK!!!

Bring it!

I'm just messing with you. I have that reaction to things too, but not with "shooting brake". As for the rendering, I don't like it, but I appreciate it's place in the market. But I'd love to see a realistic rendering of the wagon! Hopefully with these other variants, they have more of a reason to develop a more powerful engine under the (shared) hood. Eventually working it's way to the FRS/BRZ!

I am all for these off-shoots. I don't even care what they call them. It can only help FHI see the need to go back to offering a full lineup.

Win win for everyone.

Peace,

Greg

P.S. Shooting brake.......

Looks fine to me, maybe a bit too long. I wouldn't buy it regardless, but it could be a sharp car.

I like the looks of the 4-door rendering. The wheelbase may look a bit long because the RWD layout allows the front axle to be pushed forward. However, the short rear door keeps it from looking too long. Overall, a well proportioned extension of the coupe version.

Come on Justy, a performance Legacy based product is missing.

Peace,
