Looks good! Wish I had known the XV was coming out when I bought my Impreza. I'd love to have the higher ground clearance.

It still pisses me off that you can't get a limited with a manual. That's probably the only thing holding me back from trading in my sport premium for one.

Are you using the stock housing? The standard is a PSX24W, which is a 24 watt bulb. Are you assuming that the extra wattage and heat will not cause any damage to the plastic housing? I have searched on the internet about our housing or any housing using the PSX24W bulb and HID PnP kits. Many have had negative experiences with those kits. Having said that. HID produces lower temps than that of halogens with the same wattage. I think the current Jeeps and BRZ uses the same housing/bulb are the XV/Impreza. I am currently using the 10-12 ouback housing that will fit without modifying any brackets. They use a 55 watt H11 bulbs.

No melting. It's just fine. 35w vs 24 is no big deal.

Do you have a part # for the bezel? I didn't think you could install that bezel unless you had the auto climate control.

The climate control bolts on to the bezel. Unfortunately I do not have a part number. The dealer ordered it for me and I got the wrong one first. They then swapped it for the correct one but I kept the same receipt with the non nav part #.

I skipped the XM antenna since I'm not a subscriber.

See this thread there may be a pic in there.

Or PM SVXdc (David) he's an expert when it comes to this stuff.

it looks like the XM tuner is built into the unit

might have to do some research and see if i can find one of these

did you have to use his 20pin to 24pin adapter?

Yes I used all the harnesses he had available for this. including the antenna adapter and reverse camera plug. The only things purchased separately were the GPS antenna and the Nav Bezel.

You may need to grab the XM antenna as well. But getting this unit fully operational is possible and not that hard. Steering controls and bluetooth works, voice command, the usb port and aux also.

Nice, might have to look once and a while for one. I'm pretty happy with the Forrester radio, but it has some issues that bother me when they happen

Sad about the impreza, but gratz! on the XV. I didn't think I liked that color, but seeing it in a real world pic, I dig it, especially with that window tint. It's getting close to looking like the profile of a Jeep with those wheels in that pic, in a good way =0

Ditto the 1" lift and AT's!!
I may remove and sell the roof rails to finance the lift and tires.
