If i understand correctly, the headlights are already shaped to do that.

Next step is to make some vortex generators for the mirrors
Just ordered the stuff to do doors myself. No pictures of the footwell install? Very curious.

No, not much to take a picture of, just cut to fit and put inbetween carpet and the existing sound dampening.

I could have done all the way to the seats, but I didn't want to figure out the carpet retainer in the door sills, and I figured most of the noise would be coming from the front/vertical portion

Did the sound deadening make a noticeable difference?

It is either the roof rails and the mirrors. The door seals don't seem any worse than our jetta

It's entirely possible it's the mirrors. They're large, and jut out from the car pretty good. haha

I do not notice any wind noise with my 2012 Impreza sedan. It s a lot of road noise inside the car.

Yeah you can pop out the black plastic cover of the fog lights without scratching anything with this kit. I can take off the cover in 10 seconds and have access to my fogs lights. This is also the best way to add film protection to your fog lights to prevent the glass from chipping from rocks.

How many pounds of MLV do you think you've added? Also, what brand did you use? Thinking about adding some sound deadening.

4 sheets of rammatt, 60-70sq ft of mlv. Probably added about 70-80lbs total

Question.

Has anyone with a non-Crosstrek Impreza switched to some sort of all-terrain tire? Similar to the Geolanders found on the Crosstrek? I was wondering if there was some sort of "multi-use" tire similar to those that was offered in an Impreza-friendly 17" size. Like a 205/50 or similar. I am currently on FRS/BRZ wheels with the stock 215/45's they come with, but am swapping them out for my 215/45 Contiwinters soon. So looking into it for when I remove them. It'd be nice to have a good multi-purpose tire instead of swapping between all-seasons that are meh in the snow, and snows.

Another question.

To anyone who has used risers in their stock suspension, what spacer size did you use in your rear to even out the height with the front height? Considering just lifting the rear of mine to match the front for now until I put coilovers on. I know a few guys have used the saggy-butt spacers on here..

Check out my tread on my lift kit

3/8" to even out for me, but I do have a hitch installed that made mine sag just a bit more.

I have your picture saved, it looks good that way. That was achieved with only a 3/8 lift?

Ah, that picture comparison is with the 3/8 spacer AND a 1" lift. Would you say the 3/8 rear spacers alone would even out the stock front gap?

Essentially, if you lift the car up and have the e-brake on when you drop the car down and it stays up, that's about where I want it. It evens the rear out with the front until you remove the e-brake and the car sets in the rear.

I would say go 3/8. It is level with mine BUT I have a hitch on back adding 80 extra pounds that makes it sag a bit more than stock. If you did 3/8 you may be a tad higher in back not noticeable I would guess.

I'd way rather be slightly higher in the back than the front. This reverse rake is just weird. lol

my car sits perfectly level. it looks like the front is higher only if you look at the fenders, but if you look at the rocker panel it is level.

I'll have to find a flat spot and measure from the rocker panel to the ground on both ends to see if mine is actually level. As it sits now, the rear looks considerably lower than the front.

i haven't ever actually measured it, maybe I will go do that now (my garage floor is level)

edit: i stand corrected, the back is about 3/8" lower than the front, but i do have some stuff in the back right now, so maybe under normal conditions 1/4" lower. not enough for me to care about

edit2: definitely more work than I want if you have to go through all this work
