Enjoy. Ask if you have any questions, but please don't be that guy that quotes all of the pictures to ask about one!

The next step is to cut out and remove the X5 fogs to retrofit in Prius (Koito) LED DRLs there instead:

They're the 5-LED clusters in the lower bumper.

Nice retrofit Andrew.
You're selling the XV and getting a Prius-V?

Looks amazing, do you have any idea how easy the BMW led fogs (that's what is in the old high beam location correct? Would be to retro into subaru fogs, for a 06?

Also, HOW DID YOU GET THAT AWESOME ORANGE TINT IN THE LENS/HOUSING?! That is ****ing sweet!

You can definitely retrofit the LED fog into a fog light position, but it will take some engineering.

The front half of the innards of the projector were painted so it now effectively glows.

No, as no one wants to put $2,000 into their headlights like I did.

I thought this was referring to the LS460R builds, not the full headlight. I didn't realize TRSAndrew stopped making these conversions. I recall seeing the conversion thread a while back in HID planet.

In this case, yes, I still do 460R conversions. 27 to date I think!

Did you use the factory orange when painting inside the housing ? Or did you use something more transparent or reflective ?

It gets way too hot in there, so I used caliper paint.

It cuts down about 25%, so it's still plenty bright even at high noon. The stock bulb is still there.

Love the build on your headlights. The light output looks great. Can't wait to see your fog light conversion. Hey if you ever wanted to help a fellow Subaru guy out, I would love some help converting my 2011 wrx fogs using the x5 fogs as well

ALSO! What paint did you use to make everything sexy black?

Beautiful work. Wish i had the skills/balls to do this. Manufacturers don't realize I almost immediately remove a car from my shopping list if it doesn't come with hid.

My next project: Koito leveling motors with sockets (to glue to the headlight housings) and pigtails
