I don't spell well

Default Noobie Swap Wiring Question (doing research)

What I have:

99 Forester L
06 wrx tr ecu, Transponder, + all 4 wiring harnesses
07 wrx engine

will buy 6 speed tranny, suspension, ect...

All that is easy, the part I don't understand is how the different electrical system interact.

I think there are a couple independent electrical system (correct me if I'm wrong)

- engine operation (ECU)
- ABS
- Tranmission control (I'm guessing there is something)
- Airbag system

I would guess that it's the best to remove the ECU and ECU wiring from the 99 forester and replace that with the 06 tr wiring. But will that effect the other systems? Guessing this is better than trying to splice into the current ecu wiring.

If I'm going from an AT to a 6mt, is there any electrical work involved? I think the 6mt tranny wiring plugs right into the 06 tr harness. (of you can just get a 5mt tranny harness and use that on the 6mt, I forget)

Is the ABS system influenced at all? I didn't see any connections for the ABS on the 06 tr pinout. (or delete it?)

Same goes for the airbag, just leave that alone? Didn't see any connections on the ecu pinout.

What's the best option for a gauge cluster?

Now for the really dumb question, I'm going to try and make this a "fun" car as opposed to DD so I don't want to deal with immobilizer issues. I see that on the wiring diagram you can bypass the ignition cut switch and connecting the starter directly to the starter interlock relay. Is this too simplistic and won't work for some reason I don't understand?

I know this is not the greatest post ever, but I'm trying to get a better idea of what's required for this to all work out.

Thanks
