Default Looking for advice and suggestions

Hello all,

I have a 2010 base model impreza and love it so far. For my age and level of driving skill it gets the job done. I have been looking in to getting upgrades for it to make it and over all better car. So far I know I want a rear sway bar for it but past that I'm not to sure. I was hoping I could hear some suggestions for a good rear sway bar I can get and anything else I could look into modding the car with.

Start with a budget and goal for the car. Don't say "better performance" as that can mean anything and doesn't help. You can also read all the stickies in every subforum to help get ideas.

We are not in your head, and do not know what you want for the car. Only you can decide these things.

So, is Common Sense, VA a real place? or is it just anywhere you are gets renamed.

OP, sounds like you're looking for better handling. Your best bang for the buck is goign to be the Miata mod.

Better what specifically? You have to state both a budget and specifically what you want to "fix" on your car. A swaybar is a good mod, but only if you need it.....is your car experiencing understeer or oversteer? Do you know what those terms mean and how a swaybar will fix those issues and which one and what size will fix the issue? Are you just modifying your car to say that you have XXX swaybars? Are you talking power....or shifter mods as well? When you are vague you will get no help and you will end up throwing good money after bad. SPECIFICITY in seeking help will net you the best advice.

I just bought another Valentine radar detector for my Crosstrek. I love these things. Best upgrade ever! Next, I'm thinking of buying a car wash, since my 17 year old now has a job.

Jack, you're in "the business" as well? Buying a carwash. Bought your son an overpowered car. Do you were a black hat? Just need to shave your head.

If you're not sure who Jack is anymore, he suggests you tread very lightly.

Oh, and skip the Stevia.

I was at Jack's place the other day and saw this on the counter. He assured me it was just sugar and water...

Ok, so budget wise I am a college student doing a mechanical engineering degree and hope to go into the automotive field. I have a job that pays but it could always be better. I like to drive spiritly from time to time of the road when alone, when I take corners sometimes I can feel the tailend roll more than the I would like. Would love to hear a good company I could get a rear sway bar form. I think I would like to focus the car more around handling. Maybe a tire and wheel package after that if it makes it handle better but not to sure.
