Default 02 WRX Losing Electronics When Coming Out of Gear?

Right now i have a stock 02 WRX and here lately my electronics keep cutting off and on. When i come out of 2nd or 3rd it cuts the power to my head unit, clock, even all dash gauges, and when i back up my headlights are dimming. Im thinking maybe i need a new alternator? Its not even started at some points. It kills my trip meter and clears it. Ive checked battery connection and have no clue whats wrong.

check that all the grounds in the engine bay are tight/clean before going and buying a new alternator. could be that your battery is starting to kick the bucket too

If the battery is new then it's probably a ground or a crossed wire or something. Does the car have an aftermarket... anything electronic?
