Severna Park is nice but pricey. Annapolis and Glen Burnie both have very good hospitals

Totally agree there too. I have summers on my RS right now and if it weren't for a set of take-off Blizzaks that were dirt cheap, I'd be getting all seasons. They're just less of a compromise on a AWD car anyway. AWD FTW

Is BWMC in Glen Burnie getting better marks these days? I have instructed every person I know to drive me to another hospital unless I am under 15 minutes away from dying. My experiences with them were quite a while back but very, very, very negative.

I've told people not to drive me to the closest hospital to my house as their ER sucks and they've mucked up many times over the years.

I usually switch to performance winter tires (WinterSport 3D) by Thanksgiving. Summer tires at 30-40 degrees are really sketchy I'll agree, but it's usually cold enough for long enough to warrant the switch by Thanksgiving. Performance winters will cope with precipitation better than an All-Season compound as well, a bigger issue for me since I switched to RWD, but I did the same with AWD.

Meh, let's agree to disagree.

If I could afford 'em right now, I'd be getting the Wintersport M3/3D too. I had those on my 240sx and was surprised by the dry handling performance. They're chunky tires too!

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I'm saying all-seasons will barely get you home if it snows and only thanks to the AWD. I'm just not in a position to have a separate set of tires. I would if I could.

I must have misread, forgive me. Don't even know if it was you saying that it doesn't get cold here.

Two $650 sets of tires is kind of a hassle, along with the space for storage, and the lightness in my wallet.

I moved to somd from fl, I am currently shopping for new tires. Since 2010 I have been running perf summer tires from when I was in fl. I really didn't give much thought about until recently. I am going to buy summer tires even though it gets cold, I had no problems with them the last 3 winters.

Yeah I think it took about 3 years till I had an *incident* on summers... Mine was under braking on an offramp derp!

I ran summers for about 3 years too until I had an *incident*. That car isn't around anymore.

Better than MD driving hogging the left lane...however NOVA is in a perpetual state of "under construction" from my experience.

It was 28 degrees last night and barely 32 this morning. That's not cold?

I'm on the other end of MD and it was 29 this morning didn't go past 40 yesterday. And as far as driving I would much rather drive in MD than VA.

As a high temp, yes, at night it is getting down to 30 and it's still mid-November.

You know MAIC doesn't extend south of VA right?

I have had a change of heart. I want to find some OEM 04 gold wheels. That way I can have a winter set and a summer set, even though I plan on going back to FL. Who knows? When I got stationed here 03-04, I vowed to never come back to MD, here I am back since 2010, I hope I don't get stuck here….
