Default 13th Annual 48hrs of Tristate, Jan 17-19 NESIC needs winter fun too

The 13th Annual 48hrs of Tristate is Jan 17-19!

The 48hrs Committee is happy to announce that registration for this annual trip is now open. This year the trip will be kicking off at SOA headquarters and will feature a lot more back roads than the past few years as well. The charity this year will be Alex's Lemonade Stand which is dedicated to fighting childhood cancer.

Door Prize raffle will be held at Subaru of America Headquarter's in Cherry Hill NJ. The more money you raise for the charity the more tickets you get for the raffle!

Here are the cliff notes:

Date: January 17-19, 2014
Registration & Info: http://48hrs.info
Cost: Driver Donation to Charity: $100 Passenger Donation: $75
Route/Stops:
Thursday- Cherry Hill, NJ
Friday- Subaru of America, Cherry Hill, NJ
Friday Night- Corning/Watkins Glen
Saturday- Niagara Falls, NY
Sunday- Middletown, NY

You won't regret making this trip!

Ted, Mike & the 48hrs committee

new info
In years past you have been able to see "Top Teams" and "Top Participants" on our fundraising page. I have been working with ALSF to make this option available to us for our event, unfortunately for the 2014 drive the ALSF will not be able to make that happen. While this is frustrating to me, i think i have come up with a reasonable solution. On my own ALSF page i will be posting blogs that consists of the data received from ALSF reports i currently get weekly, as the drive gets closer i will update the blog with data from daily reports (Monday through Friday only). Only people who have received donations will be posted to this blog to help reduce the length of the posts. We will try to add my blog page to 48hrs.info but for now, my page is located here http://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/116981

this is a funny quote from a registration that came in this weekend.

"I expect Ted to accost my wife, Mike to crack jokes, Mark to be an upstanding guy and Group 1 to go off into the wilderness like we normally do!"

does this give you an idea of just how much fun this trip can be?
register now to join in and start a winter tradition.

Reminder to all who plan on attending 2014 48hrs of Tristate you will need a Passport IF you want to venture over to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. 48hrs is NOT planning the trip to Canada but we will be at the Falls with plenty of time to enjoy the nightlife if YOU choose to.

NMO Mounts drilled, CB wired. I'll also be running VHF/UHF ham radio (just in case!) and an APRS tracker so people can follow our progress online, even when we don't have cell service. I'll post the http://aprs.fi link before I leave.

While the staff of 48hrs understands it is Holiday season, we would like to ask that you register ASAP, We will be ordering shirts in 2 weeks and want to make sure EVERYONE who is going gets one.
Based on the number of people registered right now, only 30 shirts are needed, this is about 1/4 of the people we normally order for.

Ted

ps. book your hotel rooms before 12/31/13 when our group rates expire
