Default Replica Wheels? Why so terrible?

So I have done a lot of searching here and I see a lot of comments criticizing brands that replicate the style of high quality wheels. (xxr, varrstoen, ect. )
What I can't seem to find is a decent explanation as to why they are so terrible. I understand the concept of how the creation process and materials used affect the rigidity and durability of a wheel.
I'm just curious what the trade offs would be and in what situations would one choose to buy replicas and vice versa.
Please give explanations if possible.
Thanks in advance!!!

XXR are garbage because they use a very soft aluminum compound.

varrstoen has had major machining problems - their LM wheels have a tendency to split apart.

Rotas are very high quality, great wheels.

price isn't always an indicator, but if the wheels you're looking at cost ~400-500 a set (XXR), chances are they're garbage. But varrstoens are about the same price as rotas, yet still have issues.

its a case by case basis, and do your OWN research and draw your OWN conclusions.
