You park an overpriced, tubo'd, econo car in the garage and only drive it in good weather? Take the bus.

I wonder if I am in the wrong forum or you hacked the moderator's account! What is wrong with me loving my subaru. The STi has been my childhood dream and when I finally got it, I cherish it as my most valuable thing! I remember years ago forum like this one people are generally much nicer and help out each other, but seems like this time of my return the culture changed. Bottom line is I never expect such an insult from an moderator!

Buy another parking solution. If you never drive the STi, figure a way to get it onto the cargo elevator, through your front door and into your living room.

Otherwise, are there no safe parking options where you live? Storage facility?

Most Subaru owners use it for its practicallity, which is why many people can't understand not driving the car all the time. Think of it this way.......when it gets stolen, what will all that "not driving" have given you? Buy some snows and drive it, man.

Sell the GLK, park the STI in the garage and enjoy it every day.

Why did you buy the GLK in the first place if you already had the STi and have nowhere to park it? Are you planning on shooting a rap video or something?

I love Arizona. They could have fit another row of houses for the amount of space between curb to curb.

Yea, but the space between houses is sad. Might as well mend the two together they are so close.

He doesn't drive all of them. Some of them sit there for a while before he takes them for a spin again. It's like buying something, leaving it in the packaging, and never opening it because it's a "collector's" item.

Not really, everyone has his own perspective. To me, I always had a toy car, years ago I jumped from M3 to a 07 STi because I fell in love with turbo. It was actually the 01/02 (bugeye) and 06/07 WRC that really got me into that damn thing. Then the 2011 came along.

I do drive it, just not a daily beater to work. I work in the suburb and so I dont wanna put many miles on it, its like 100 miles/day. All in all, after a work day, I kinda got sick of driving home in a stickshift so thats why I want a more comfortable ride. The STi is special to me, what makes it more special is each body style only lasts 2 years (maybe 3 for 2011 sedan). I want to be able to keep mine clean and I doubt subaru will make another STi that I like, just look at the new one coming out! I remember when I first saw the 2011 in ads I was like wow, then this one just came out in car show I was like wtf.

btw, putting ~5000 miles a year for my last two years of ownership as a leisure ride, I thought its not that bad actually.....

Not to threadjack, but how was the M3 compared to the STi?

M3s are nice, solid, and well put together. But I kept on suffering from sensor problem, service light kept throwing out without a reason (it was bone stock, problem started at about 50k and lasted til about 65k then I got rid of it) and dealership couldnt figure out why neither. I love the gear ratio and the car just kept on pulling and stretching like it was hungry for speed (100+)

Well, I am sure you know why we own the STi, for me it is the turbo, AWD, boxer, the architecture, easier to work on, and more affordable parts. I am just amazed how these little 2.0 - 2.5 (depending where u at) can produce such power and adrenaline rush. Now see that Audi and MB are starting to pursue this crowd by bringing the S3 2.0T and CLA45 AMG to the states. Although those are nice, but the price sticker are just way too outrageous.

Honestly if I can afford a CLA45 AMG I would rather get a slightly used M3 or C63. So the STi is still my top choice and will be (if in the future they are not too ugly)

Well said, I totally agree on what you said about the STi. It's also IMO, one of the best bang-for-the-buck cars you can get in it's price range. Of course the people with deeper pockets than I will differ, but that's how I see it.
