Some places probably won't even touch a break on the inside...

Might also want to check your insurance policy to see if you have glass repair/replacement on your policy. Some policies will pay 100% of a repair/replacement, while some will hit you with your deductible if a replacement is necessary.

I wouldn't start with a compression test.

I'd start looking for boost/vacuum leaks.

A compression test is a pain on these cars that's why it costs what it does.

Going somewhere besides cobb to diagnose an engine problem can lead to it exploding

There are other good shops in the world, they aren't the only one... I understand you don't like AWD Tuning, but there are tons of other shops in the DFW area which do great mechanical work. Hate to say it, but the above comment made you sound like a fanboy.

Yes but not for Subarus. Call me a fan boy all you want. I bet you cant name one other shop besides fail wheel drive tuning within 100 miles of dfw that specializes in Subarus.

Kustomautos want to chime in on this. There is a Subaru specialist in Justin. He has fixed said company's problems and do all the work on my subie and another one that is actually on sale now. Not a fan boy, but I do own CTI5. So I've been in it too long to not really trust anyone else besides Me, Cobb, and Kustomautos.

Aww i, love you too...id look for boost leaks, lack of compression will usually cause a p0300.
