Haha, I couldn't deal with another black color. It was too much work with the upkeep of it. Love the way they look, but a major PITA to keep unmarred and swirl free. Not to mention it would be a nightmare on the sticky Subaru paint.

I can see myself around that height come spring. Should be interesting to see each others rides when it warms up haha.

Anyone local available this weekend? I want to get the 4 pot brakes on and would rather have an extra set of hands by my side.

Mainly looking at Saturday since I am fairly free then. The only thing that has me hesitant is bleeding the brakes since I don't have a bleeder or the tools to get it done properly. Otherwise the caliper swap is fairly easy.

I've got a motive bleeder but my cap is for German cars. I have to look it up and see if it fits a Subaru.

Thanks man. I'm anticipating getting the brakes on. Should be a nice upgrade for sure. I'm going to have to wait until after the new year to get the rear 2 pots and other planned 2014 mods. The holidays are sucking up the fun money for now haha.

haha! You and me both! I'm happy where she is at right now, but I do want the sedan front conversion for the dad wagon. Still looking at that Maxpsi kit for the M too.

Haha I hear ya. I'm happy where mine is as well, but there is always something to do! The maxpsi kit is no joke. Seems like they worked out the kinks now. Lots of potential with their kit.

Haven't had any updates for the car in a while, but I figured I would post up some thoughts and plans.

NJ got a surprising snow storm yesterday and I got a chance to really drive the car through some real snow. I was pleasantly surprised how collective the car was through 4 or so inches of unplowed snow. I was even on All-Seasons (continental DWS) and they did very well. I am sure on winter's it's even better. I DO plan on replacing the DWS's with dedicated winter tires next year. I just had so much tread left on the DWS's that it was silly to replace. Either way, I was very pleased with how the car performed and even got to do some donuts on a culdesac which was a hoot. We are supposed to get another dumping tonight into tomorrow, so I am looking forward to getting more seat time with snow on the ground.

I ended up removing the snow camo on the fairing since it was a little too busy on the car. It definitely had a unique look, but I wanted something a bit cleaner. I ended up just putting a few stickers on there that I am either running on the car currently or I just wanted to support. Keeping it really clean and subtle. I'll try to get a snap of the new look.

I am still having a clunking noise happening on the driver side area. Endlink and sway bar bolts are tight, all collars and bolts on the coils are tightened. I ended ended up adding a bit more pre-load on the spring to see if that would help, but to no avail. I am completely out of ideas of where to even look. I find it hard to believe it's not coming from the coil or the endlink/swaybar since those are the only things I replaced. Hoping it's not something more serious where I would have to send the coilover in to Feal. However, I highly doubt that since the coil is performing perfectly and no leaks or anything out of the ordinary. Just out of ideas of what to do.

Lastly, I have a few items coming in over the next few weeks. They should be a nice addition to the car and really give it a whole other personality for 2014. Here is my mod, install, and to-do list that I have planned.

- Invidia catted downpipe
- JPM Coachworks Black Alacantara/red stitched boots
- Install 4 Pot Calipers
- Get TP stage 2 map (send in data log to fine tune)
- Get DP gaskets
- Install solid modification vent boost pod and def red racer boost gauge
- S206 side skirt extensions
- Lower to rid wheel gap
- Re-install RPF1's
- Fix/source clunking noise

After I check all the boxes on that list, the only thing I have left that I'd really like to do is get a set of the 2 pot rears, all new rotors, SS brake lines, defi red racer boost gauge, and vent gauge pod to house boost gauge. Otherwise that is the remainder of my list that I really want to get done. I think it will really bring this car to the level I really want it to be at. Keeping it simple, clean, and reliable. Stay tuned! I'll be posting up pics as the parts come in.

The Snowtires I have right now were down right NASTY in the snow last night. I can't wait for more tomorrow.

The mod list looks good. Hopefully we can find a time to crank out the front brakes!

Nice! We got a good amount quickly yesterday. I couldn't wait to get the subaru out. My fiance asked me which car we were taking and I answer MINE! before she even finished her sentence haha. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Might be adding the downpipe to the install day too! Might as well crank everything out at once. It should be coming in about 2-3 weeks or so. Probably after the holidays! So be ready! Ask your friend if we can use his lift

Where did ya order it from? I ordered a catted Invidia with extra bung for a wide band from RSD last week when they had that black Friday deal. Arriving tomorrow, can't wait. Did you order a new heat shield, or will you be cutting the stock one?

I actually got it hardly used from a member on here. Great deal! I haven't thought that far ahead for the heat shield. I'd like to get a new one, but will most likely just cut the stock one.

Nice. Quick question, what vent pod were you look into to? I'm running the SMY for my Defi boost and oil pressure, but am looking for somewhere to mount my wideband. The only 3 gauge pod I like is in Robs car, but he covered it with alcantara, and I don't think it looks that good in its stock form.

Solid modifcations vent gauge. Great idea for a practically useless vent anyway.

Nice, when you start driving the car all the time in the snow you will appreciate how badass they really are and can get thru practically anything.
