I've been using LR5 for about 4 months now and tbh I have not have the need to use photoshop since. The new features in LR5 made it one of the best if not the best software for post processing. Granted PS is still a much more powerful tool than LR. But unless you need special effects or really bad at composing your pictures paying for PS will just be a waste.

Thanks for the help guys I think I am just going to go with Lightroom and I will try out that free software you mentioned above. Yeah I love how easy Lightroom was to use it was very intuitive I burned up my free 30 day trial and have missed it ever since and my wife was going to get me either Lightroom or a combo for Christmas so I think light room will be the better choice, thanks guys

^^^ no offence, but those pictures look like they belong in craigslist or something... They would be great shots to sell a car.

Any advice on what to look for, when thinking of a good place to shoot pictures of a car?

True. There's no "drama" in the shots, and two of them are replicas. They're too direct/straight-on.
