Getting my custom-built Moore axleback done on Thursday. Doing a straight exit tip through the bumper, similar to Reverends, but with a single exit single tip instead of a dual-quad.

Pics to follow.

does anyone know if a 13' wrx sedan stock cat back exhaust will fit a 13' non turbo impreza sedan?

I know the bumper will be a bit of an issue but will the measurements be able to bolt it on and maybe cut the bumper or replace it?

I doubt it would fit without some cutting and welding, does the new 2.0i's have dual mufflers? If not is their a place/ hanger for one on the other side?

Yes, I would also like to know what you did to "modify" the magnaflow setup. I have a similar setup.

Mine is "bolt-on" technically.. But it's a custom built axleback by Moore that exits through the bumper. haha

Actually I am developing a muffler delete, well actually I am alreday finished, but I am in the process of building the first batch, I am not charging anything, just help me pay for the materias and a flat rate shipping box to send it to you, and the most important, a very through comment of what do you think about the product. After you install it. I dontt know how to link my post, but I'm pretty sure if you go to my profile you will find it. Its called, muffler delete under impreza forums.

I'm currently spending just about every waking second trying to catch up on 2.5i header orders, but after I do catch up I will be redirecting my attention back to the 2.0i

I've received multiple orders for custom axleback and catback builds, most notably a custom through-the-bumper quad tip catback utilizing a factory BRZ muffler. If it turns out well (which I fully expect it to), I will be offering that setup as an option. It will obviously require the customer to make some exhaust tip cut outs in the bumper. Good news is that I believe that setup should fit the hatch and the sedan (since both vehicles would require cutting the bumper). I may need someone with a sedan to help me confirm that.

I have a 2013 Sedan and am looking to put on (most likely) a Magnaflow. I have no experience with mods at all. I'm not looking for any performance gains, just a good, clean, crisp exhaust that won't piss off my neighbors. I've seen lots of talk about the 11236. Will any shop be able to do this, or should I look for a muffler shop? Will this sound good?

I would find a good local exhaust shop. Not Midas or mieneke. You need one that does good quality custom exhaust that has all the equipment to bend and do good weld work. Look for some place that does street rods or performance cars. Have them make it so that you can install the oe exhaust down the road if you sell the car or don't like it. I had a flow master installed on my Xterra for $110 including tax. It's an easy fabrication on the Impreza if one has the right tools. The materials are what can run the price up.

So I found the muffler for around $90 before shipping, plus parts and labor, I'm probably looking at around $350.

Now, what am I looking for for the exhaust? I can't for the life of me find what the stock piping diameter is. I'm looking at the part diagram and I'm thinking I need one of these They're offset/offset same side. What would give me a good sound? Just the muffler? Or will I want to increase the outflow size?

Scote, are you looking for catback or new muffler? I got a quote for just a Magnaflow for $150 installed. Maybe catback and muffler would be in the $350 neighborhood?

I'm just looking for axle back. Pretty much I want them to take the old muffler and piping off so that I can replace it when needed; then use new piping just axle-back on the new magnaflow muffler, of course with probably a magnaflow tip.

With the magnaflow though, I'm trying to figure out what the stock piping size is so I can get that as the inlet size, and looking at outlet size to probably be 2.5"

I would just let them figure out what you need. A good shop does this every day and knows what to do or not do. They will have all the parts they need to do the job. Let them supply the parts. Most shops wont warranty parts a customer brings in and will charge you more since they won't make any money on the parts.

I'm seriously thinking about an axle back. I did a muffler delete turn down Thursday night and drove it Friday. Exterior sound is great if a tad loud. The interior drone at certain rpms, gears and speeds is just unbearable. Sometimes it sounds glorious but I have got to find a better solution. I just don't want to spend a hundred or two on an experiment only to not like it.

So, what's the cost effective solution for a nice purr without interior drone? Magnaflow?

I have a custom one-off axleback on my wagon that we built in-house. It was done by Moore Performance, a Subaru specialist. It utilizes bigger tubing and an SLP Loudmouth bullet style muffler. It sounds similar to how the car did when I had the turndown, but more controlled, and a little quieter. But how it's one-off is that we have the only exhaust that is straight through the bumper, but using only one exit. Most people that cut through the bumper use dual exhaust. I really like it.. There's a pic in here somewhere.. But as for your question, most people go Magnaflows.

If you haven't already, you can look here: http://www.rallisportracing.com/2.php

Direct bolt on and quality work... Or just a muffler shop.
