Default Commercial launch for Audi A3 sedan

Nice looking compact sports sedan. Should look great in RS3 form.

Ya know for all of the praise of AUDI interiors that goes on, this one looks pretty darn average. Not digging the big round vents.

The A3 has always been downmarket compared to all the other models (A4 and up). If you want an example of great interiors, don't look at their car that starts at $30k.

Also, that first commercial is cringe-worthy. I'm scared to watch the rest now.

Im not liking the commercials, its low that they want to put down other car brands. The CLA AMG would eat the S3.

Where is the manual version? Where is the 5 door?

I'd take the CLA over the Audi.

Just my 2c.

Do Audis depreciate as bad as VWs?

These commercials are simply odd.

I'd also buy a GTI over and over before an A3... just like I did in 2007. The MKVII GTI sounds very exciting. The A3 seems like something a badge snob would buy.

Wha.... I'm a bit confused. On the first link (video) titled abstinence, 29 seconds in The guy is looking in the window and shifting his eyes between two different cars. The rear end of the one on the right is an Aston Martin. Hell I'd grab the Aston Martin before any of the cars mentioned in all three videos.

Dear Audi. WTH are you thinking. Even trying to compare your car to an Aston....

I think the Mk7 GTI is going to be a stellar drive, but a quattro 300 HP baby audi sedan does sound enticing. The problem with the S3 to me is that you can get the exact same car in a different package in the Golf R. That is assuming the AWD system in the S3 is Haldex V and not pure Quattro. For mid 30's the Mk 7 R may be a huge smile generator.

I would go Golf R every day of the week over an S3. Looks better and I am actually turned off by a luxury badge. I'd rather have a VW, Toyota, or Subaru badge.

For me it it really starts to come down to small things. One of the reasons I chose the R over the STI this last time, was dealer location. VW was 4 miles away, Subaru is 43 miles away. Granted I will probably NEED the VW dealer more, but so far the R has been nothing but a grin inducing joy to own.

Why? For the 350 people on the internet that would buy one? Audi USA learned their lesson with the TT-RS so it's doubtful that there would be a manual TT-RS when/if we get one when the new body style comes out. It's like the folks that complain about a lack of a manual in the FXT for the past several years. I think me and 3 others bought one.

The 5 door A3 has been confirmed as a 2015 plug in hybrid, so maybe a 5 door gas A3/S3 isn't completely out of question.

I don't think the A3/A4 and maybe A5 depreciate that badly, but A6 and up definitely do. Like all luxury cars.

I saw a 12 A3 hatch, quattro/dsg, 24k on the clock, on a dealer lot yesterday for $14,500.

They depreciate like crazy unless you get one of the really desirable ones (S- and RS- line, for examples)

Holy crap. I sold my 4 year old, 58k mile MKV GTI for $15500. It stickered for $26k.
