Default GrimmSpeed 3-Bolt EWG Up Pipes - PRODUCT RELEASE

The perfect EWG solution for 3-bolt headers.

You guys have been asking and once again, GrimmSpeed delivers! We're proud to announce the release of our External Wastegate Up Pipe lineup for 3-Bolt headers! This up-pipe was designed specifically to fit the Tomei header, but will also work with GT-Spec, and most other 3-bolt headers.

No more searching high and low for a tomei EWG up pipe, no more finding a shop that will modify your existing up pipe and no more lousy boost control! The GrimmSpeed EWG Up Pipe is exactly what many of you have been looking for!

Design:
Featuring all of the same features that our other EWG pipes have, these are already proven to perform well and withstand serious abuse. We designed the beefy 1/2" flanges to smoothly narrow from the diameter of your header to the correct size for your turbine inlet and TIG weld the entire assembly for a perfect fit and finish. We have fitments for both the 38mm/40mm and 44mm/45mm Turbosmart and Tial wastegates as well as coated options for both. Of course, IWG models are also available.

Quick Specs:
  • 3-Bolt Inlet Flange fits most 3-bolt headers!
  • 321 Stainless Steel Interlocking Flex Section - Reduces fatigue and facilitates thermal expansion
  • Contoured EWG Side Outlet - CNC bent and laser cut, this EWG exit allows exhaust gas to exit with maximum efficiency
  • 2.0mm Tube Thickness - 33% Thicker than the competition
  • 1/2" Stainless Steel CNC Flanges - Fully machined, these beefy flanges offer perfect fit and transition every time
  • 10+ WHP Gain - Ask your tuner what you can expect based on your particular setup and goals!
  • 1.85" Inner diameter - Supports 600whp+
  • FARO Arm Designed - Allows more precise design and a stronger, better fitting product

MSRP: $359.99

Availability:
For a limited time, these will be available in all variants, directly from RallySportDirect. They've got them on the shelves and ready to ship, so if you have any questions, need more information or would like to place an order, please feel free to visit their website or contact them directly. Of course, we're always available via AIM, email or phone to answer questions and get you pointed in the right direction.

Will a specific gasket be required considering how the 3 bolt flange has that beveled entry?

I assume they designed it around the good gaskets that are available.

We wouldn't do that to you! Here's a photo of our standard 3-bolt gasket laid over the flange - perfect fit! These also ship with GrimmSpeed stainless gaskets, so no worries either way!

Please do a GB! I would 100% be down for a 3 bolt EWG, or even a GB with the 3-bolt EWG and Tial or Turbosmart WG.

A few questions.
1. Will there be a non flex pipe version. Thats because they always fail im some forme or another ALWAYS!!
2. Will you be making a rotated version that would persay also bolt up to the tomei headers?
3. Will you be making a dual ewg configuration?

Alright, here we go:

1. We may, someday, make a non-flex version. With that said, they do not always fail and a hard pipe typically causes more problems than it solves. Flex sections fail if they're lower quality or improperly designed and manufactured for the application. These are manufactured specifically for use in these Subaru exhaust components. The bellows are sized such that their natural frequencies differ from those of the exhaust system enough that we can avoid resonance. The vibration caused by resonance is what causes flex sections to fail. We have not had a SINGLE of these updated flex sections fail. If you'd prefer to wait and see, that's fine, but I can't make any promises. Another complicating factors is that we can't control the tolerances that other companies are holder their headers to. Because of this, a flex section provides some much needed flexibility in fitment, if your header flange location isn't exact, which it isn't.

2. Again, probably someday. For now, it's on our wish list, but isn't yet being developed.

3. Nope! Since this is a single scroll application, there's no need for more than one wastegate. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question though, so feel free to clarify.

Ok well it isnt a question of quality on your parts not at all.
2 I really waiting to find a rotated up pipe to match the expreme headers which I love thats all im waiting for a big turbo.

3 I wasnt aware that thats what the dual ewg is for twin scroll setups only so that answers my questions.
