Wait until it gets windy and rains and they shut the entire road down! never have I been in a place where inclimate weather such as rain, wind and potentially as little as 1" of snow shut down an entire major roadway.

Right?! Where I'm from (Minnesota) that's cruising weather.

Snow flakes terrorize the city in much of the same way as an alien invasion would. Pannick and looting ensues.

I was wondering that myself. When I first started having those engine issues I sent him a text and never heard anything back. I need to swing by Subaru today so maybe I'll bump into him.

Abel is still alive. Talked to him when I brought my RS in this past week.

Any recommendations on local tuners to get a pro tune?

I personally wouldn't trust anyone local. If you have an 08+ I'd recommend Eric at torqued performance or Clark turner.

Do you think that an online tuner is comparable with an in-person dyno tune?

The closest person I would trust to do a tune in person would be Camtuning.com. Based out of Albuquerque but makes trips down to Las Cruces. Otherwise like mentioned, Eric Minehart of torquedperformance.com is great for etunes and so is Clark Turner.

cam or clark, etunes are just as good they just take longer..... tuner reads data and makes adjustments just as if he was sitting in the carl, ensure you have no boost leaks or any issues prior to the tune though it will make you life a ton easier lol

^^This^^ The length of time for it is dependent on how fast the tuner responds to your datalogs to how fast you reload the revised map. I did an etune through Eric Minehart and it took about 2 weeks to complete the revisions, mainly on my part. I was able to get 3 different revisions on a single Saturday since he would respond within an hour with the new map. So, tehcnically, so long as everything goes good and you have no leaks it can be taken care of in a single day.

My 13 is tuned by Eric and there would be times I would send him logs at 1am and he would reply in 30 minutes. Completely satisfied with Eric. Plus he tuned me with ecu flash which I liked. Didn't need to buy an access port like you need with Clark.

I was tuned the ecu flash with Clark for three years had no issues car ran really well and strong. Having the access port is an added bonus and helps unlock the hidden potential your car can put out. It's really not a necessity it's up to you really

The accessport won't make any more or less power than an opensource tune. There is no 'hidden potential'. Tables are tables and a competent tuner can change anything that the accessport can without it.

That being said, I really like the AP for bigger builds running speed density (no maf sensor) on the stock ecu. I've made over 600whp on cars on stock ecu with the AP.
