Director of Internet Marketing

What you'll be doing:
  • Redesign and build our new ecommerce platform from the ground up
  • Build the processes in between website, CRM, accounting and direct marketing
  • Develop dashboard analytics to show real time data from all marketing touch points: website, email, mobile and social media and turn those analytics into actionable, measurable improvements
  • Build lead nurturing workflows - use information from web analysis and lead scoring to create personalized emails, landing pages and triggered emails nurturing them from first interest through to sale.
  • Lead generation activities - introduce, recommend and strategize with product marketing to discover and understand our offerings using traditional and nontraditional activities through social media, webinars, forums, etc based on the product and B2C audience.
  • Search engine marketing - build the strategy and yearly execution of the purchase of paid advertising on search engines, social networks and forums
  • Search engine optimization - build the strategy and execution to increase our website(s) natural position in search engine results
  • Build a content strategy for web, email, social media, mobile and landing pages that includes images, videos, tech articles and paid 3rd party content
  • Continuous refinement: conduct A/B testing of various pages and emails to assess stronger conversion rates.

Data Architect

Our Marketing/Data team is looking for a seasoned Data Architect who has vision, and proven ability, to define and deliver a robust, yet flexible Data Structure. This position requires that you are able to design, develop and maintain a SQL based Data Warehouse.

As a leader in the performance automotive space, Cobb Tuning collects data from thousands of customers and the Data Architect will be responsible for defining how that data is collected, managed, and leveraged.

Responsibilities to include:
To analyze, design, and drive data modeling for the business. This will include data schemas, data dictionaries, and the development of a data warehouse the will bridge across the entire organization’s applications, website platform, and systems. Provide an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts. Work with management and the end users to understand business requirements to identify these data solutions. Develop roadmaps and strategies for applications, data acquisitions, archive & recovery, and implementation of a database warehouse on an enterprise level. Successful applicants will have significant experience with the design, development and maintenance of enterprise level data systems such as Oracle or SQL Server.

The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Define and Extend our Data Model – across all internal and external platforms
  • Provide guidance for Users and Business Owners – who seek data - across the organization
  • Provide Data expertise to the Data Architecture team or other data application teams
  • Assist Users with data quality issues – and track issues thru resolution
  • Assist in Data requirements gathering process analysis
  • Assist in trouble-shooting data quality issues and problems.
  • Work directly with the business to construct rich Data Assets to solve Data-Driven problems.
  • Data profiling of all Data Flows
Requirements:
  • 6+ Plus Years of Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Models for at least 3 Major Industries – Retail, Internet, Financial, Manufacturing, Inventory, Games. SQL based platform Developer experience.
Special Qualifications
  • Strong data modeling experience and key understanding of relational database development including the ability to write and tune SQL queries on large database systems
  • Experience in the complete data warehouse project life cycle is required (requirements gathering, architecture, design, implementation, and tuning)
  • Ability to perform requirements gathering on existing environment and documentation
  • Specialty in developing data warehouses based on medium-scale source databases
  • Significant experience in the process of extracting data from multiple sources including a data warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with MDM / CIM concepts and approaches
  • Ability to classify business drivers for company
  • Experience with leading ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) tools / vendors so that the warehouse is populated with timely and accurate data
  • Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate initiative, and work independently with minimal supervision

Software/Firmware Test Engineer

Job Description:
  • Help us maintain the quality that our customers expect by using new features before they are released.
  • Create test plans and execute test procedures.
  • Analyze and reproduce issues, gather detailed failure information, work with development team to resolve software defects.
  • Enhance and update internal and external documentations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Computer/OS troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
  • Minimum an AA degree in computer or related fields.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Great problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong candidates may also possess one or more of the following skills and experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of COBB products.
  • Automotive engine control and tuning.
  • BS in CS, EE or related fields.
  • Great problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Product testing experience - generating test plans, running tests, documenting results, filing bug reports, etc.

Software Engineer

Maintain and develop COBB software products - Accessport device firmware, complimentary software products deployed to customers, and utilities used internally to support and maintain all software products.

We are looking for a seasoned software engineer to design, develop and support software applications for automotive tuning. Ideal experience will include:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, CE, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of professional software development
  • GUI development using any existing tool kit such as Qt, WTL.
  • Development experience in both Windows and Mac OS.
  • Experience integrating and incorporating multiple systems and applications.
  • Proficiency with C/C++ and Object-oriented programming
Candidates must also have the following:
  • Ability to problem-solve and provide high quality solutions
  • Ability to debug outside of conventional IDEs and debuggers
  • Good communication skills, and the ability to contribute as an individual in a team setting
The following are desired but not required:
  • Automobile engine operation and tuning fundamentals
  • Linux and/or Windows drivers
  • Scripting languages
  • STL, boost, or similar libraries
  • Work directly with customers on issues, feature sets, etc.

Senior Software/Firmware Engineer

Plan, design and carry out projects and products related to COBB AccessPORT handheld device and peripheral software. Work with a team of talented engineers. Analyzes and assists management on scheduling and meeting deadlines. Ensures projects are developed as designed/specified and drives projects to completion.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE, CS, CE, or equivalent.
  • 7+ professional software/firmware development experience.
  • Has broad understanding of technology or product area related to our product lines, and can quickly understand other areas to provide useful, relevant feedback regarding issues, interactions, and development directions.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple release cycles and products, showing clear understanding of all phases of the product life cycle.
  • Understands the product cycle and the tradeoffs between schedules, cost and quality. Knows how to assess risks.
  • Can come up with creative/innovative ideas in many aspects of software engineering, including but not limited to: solving problems, enhancing features, streamlining workflow, or improving quality of our products.
  • Carries out work with minimal supervision and modify methods to resolve unforeseen situations and problems.
  • Ability to compose technical writing (functional spec, use case analysis, etc.) that conveys concepts effectively.
  • Good personal time management skills.
Strong candidates may also possess one or more of the following skills and experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of COBB products.

ECU Reverse Engineer

Be a part of the team that leads the automotive aftermarket in understanding factory engine management systems.

Applicable candidates must have the following:
  • Ability to break down very large, complex problems into manageable tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and pattern recognition skills
  • Ability to understand 3rd party documentation - chip, protocol, and standardized specifications
  • Read/write assembly code
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex, technical findings through documentation
  • Ability to write code/scripts as validation, automation, etc.
  • Ability to gather requirements from various sources, including end customers
  • Creativity in solving complex problems using innovative approaches with limited resources
  • Ability to maintain focus and direction with ambiguous requirements

Software Product Tester

CNC Machinist

COBB Tuning, a high-performance automotive engineering company based in Austin, TX, is looking for a CNC Machinist. Our growing manufacturing division is seeking a detail orientated individual who takes great pride in their work and exceeds our customer's expectations through the quality and precision of the components they produce. They will be joining a small, close-nit team operating modern Mori Seiki and DMG machining centers.

Job Purpose: This is a full-time CNC Machinist position for COBB Tuning in Austin, Texas. Duties will include:
  • Set-up and machining of precision components
  • Editing or creating programs
  • Safely operating CNC turning and milling machines
  • Inspecting first-run and in-process parts
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies
Skill Requirements:
  • 2-5 years experience in basic programming, editing, set-up and operating CNC machines for precision parts
  • Experience with 3+ axis CNC Vertical Mills and CNC Lathes with Live Tooling
  • Read and understand GCode/measuring equipment
  • Previous experience with conversational controls - Siemens & FANUC
  • Mastercam experience a plus
  • Solidworks experience a plus
  • CNC Tube Bending experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift 75 lbs
  • Continuous manual agility required
  • Ability to perform job functions standing up for 6-8 consecutive hours
  • Ability to safely handle toxic materials such as coolant, oil and standard cleaning products

If I was ready to relocate, Cobb would certainly be on top of my list of awesome places to work at. The best job is when you walk into work and feel guilty that you are getting paid to play.
