There be canyons in New England?

I can see me owning one of these probably in a couple years. Have to get siding done on the house 1st and that's going to be a pretty penny.

Make sure you go with hardy plank.

It will outlast a styrofoam big mac container.

Confirmation That The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Is Supercharged

This image put together from three teasers is the best view of the 2015 Corvette Z06 yet. It also confirms what we've sort of knew already: Those 620 horses come from a supercharged LT4 V8. Lovely.

Thank our reader Gene for putting the pieces together, who had the following to add:

Quote:
I look forward to giving you guys a great review of this beast. I had the C5 Z06 and C6 Z06 and plan on continuing the tradition some day.
With those semi-slick Michelins, as much horsepower as a McLaren MP4-12C or a Viper TA and a monstrous 650 pound feet of torque on tap, we can't wait either!

No doubt this is going to be GM's most serious track machine yet.

Just FYI, all the Fences, splitters, winglets, and new underbody tray are fully functional. Down force figures will be published at a later date.

wholy ****

They made it uglier…

I was just going to say that what the street car needed was more tacked on aero bits and pieces.

Tacked on is a good look for a car that starts out simple. The vette looked anything but simple in it's most recent incarnation. I've seen two IRL, one black, one yellow. The yellow one looked like ass due to all the horrible black gloss parts EVERYWHERE and all I could think when they passed is "wow... what a giant square ass. Do not want."

The black one looked better, and the new vette is killer performance/dollar value, but it's not a pretty car, and it already had an entire catalog worth of rice design parts.

I don't think pretty was their intent.
I'm not exactly sure what their intent was, but I like it.
Visually obsoleting all previous models is what they're good at.

When the C5 came out, it made the old ones look silly.
The C6 REALLY made the C5s look dated.
This pretty much just took care of the C6s.

Mom jeans. Definitely produced in mid-west.

I like the insane transformer look Z06. My balls are too small to ever utitilize it on a track, tho. Reserved for a much better wielder of wide rubber and massive torques. I get the palm sweaties just looking at it...

Actually you are right, I am not a fan of that car. Tacked on is the word for it. I agree. Not pretty or well done in my eyes. Looks garish.

The rear end is starting to grow on me. The Z06 just looks mean, and all of those "tacked on aero bits" serve a purpose, as it was developed in conjunction with the racing car. Nothing wrong with adding parts if they are fully functional and carefully designed and tested.

I hear ya, and I do believe they are functional....But it is trying to damn hard to be a race car. IT is almost as if they know their target audience likes tacked on things and could not apprecaite the delicate lines of a 911 or ferrari 458, which I am sure this car could compete with.
