Default Carbon Fiber roof vane review from Ebay!

Hey guys, I have a 07 wrx tr and I always liked the look of a roof vane. I searched and searched and decided I would go ahead and buy one of off Ebay. I bought my vane from a company called advanation for $105 shipped. Took around a week to receive. Packing was very very well. Nice box, taped, alot of padding and also a slip on bag. Fed-ex shipped it. Well out of the box it looks great. No damage and no scratches or cracks. I held it up on my car and it looks really nice. I will be getting this professional installed tomorrow and I will have pictures up!

For now-

Never had a problem buying off of eBay as long as it's from North America. Looks nice will await install.

Pictures of it taped on.. No that trunk is not real carbon fiber, it is vinyl wrap. Look at my other posts. It is about 2 inches down on each end. I think this looks best

you should try to wrap that piece in the vinyl as-well, I think it might match up a little nicer. Not that it looks BAD, just seems weird with a gloss black car, flat carbon trunk, and glossy carbon vane. Or just spray it with flat clear...

In pictures the trunk looks very flat, but in person it has a semi-gloss look and the vane almost matches perfectly. In the future I will most likely be painting the end caps OBP..

FYI there is a parts review section, though I don't see much reviewing going on.

Well, Overall I think its a good buy. Especially considering a new roof vane OEM is almost 3x as much. And I didn't know know there was a parts review section..

I have that same roof vane, first the stock screws will not be long enough, installation will be expensive depending on where you go and it's real easy to brake. Already cracked mine a little bit but yes its a very nice product from eBay.

UPDATE: I will be getting it installed tomorrow morning. My local body shop said it will cost ~200$ because he has to make templates, drill a "special" way and use silicone for perfection. Then he found out I was a relative from one of his friends. So getting a family discount! He said around 4-6 hours. And will do it for 130-150. I'm pretty excited and will have pictures posted!

The only reason why i would go with an OEM piece and not this one is the over-all "quality" of the product , carbon fiber is nice and very light but it also can be very flimsy , the OEM piece feels much nicer and you can also swap the center out for something different.

but if your just going for price and appearance then ebay is the way to go.

Do you have any pictures of this installed completely? or any direct comparison between this and an oem in terms of fitment?

I have a similar 1 piece vane spoiler. super easy to install myself with a friend. took about 2 hours. made templates, drilled, silicone, and installed with the provided hardware.
