Sorry I already posted this in the brakes/suspension forum, but am getting no response. Show some love legacy owners.
I have a 1997 Legacy GT and when I am braking I hear a pop, or click, coming from what seems like the front left wheel. This noise doesn't happen all of the time that the brakes are on, it is only when the brake is being pressed lightly. Therefore, when coming to a sudden stop, or a hard stop, I don't hear the noise at all, but when gradually slowing down the noise fades in as I put pressure on the pedal, and then fades out the further down the pedal goes. The click coincides with the rotation of the wheel, so when the car is going fast, it clicks fast, and visa versa. Does this sound like something is wrong with my brakes, pads, or rotors? I am clueless about brake (and suspension, although it doesn't seem to be suspension since the click coincides with rotation speed) problems so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brendan |
