Why an RS? You can get a WRX for that much cash all around right now, just gotta find one that hasn't been molested.

Been in love with the 2.5rs for quite a while. And besides a unmolested wrx around my price range will be harder to find then a decent 2.5rs.

Thank you to the guy who let me know about this place outside the Melting Pot last night! I had no idea there was a site out there with other WRX freaks.

You're all good man.

Do you remember what the guy was driving? The Melting Pot is a little higher class than me, so I know I wasn't there. I could see Aron's country-bumpkin ass going there though to celebrate his little one.

Function 7 Arms are being shipped back tomorrow, Voodoo13 arms will be ordered shortly after, and should arrive by the end of the month. LET'S GET THIS **** MOVING AGAIN!!!

haha he said he had an 04 WRX but it was out of commission at the moment. I revved it up to about 6k rpm after he made a comment then he came over and told me about the site. So glad he did, but I didn't catch his name.

04? Aron I would guess, but his isn't out of commission. Q has a 05, so I don't think that was him..

Doesn't matter. Welcome to the site, hopefully we see you around at some meets and wrenching days.

It's definitely used, somewhat high miles, and definitely high priced.. I think you could get a better version of the GC for cheaper.

Depends on how desperate you are to get back in to a Scoob though.

In your case, yeah.

For everyone else though, that'd mean a day where everyone can work on their own stuff, with my tools and garage space.

Good thing I have a garage full of tools .

You know how to hardwire a fuel pump by chance. Six star didn't do it like I asked and I was told the pump I have likes to burn out the stock controller.

Yes I agree that sea kinda high. Especially with that high of mileage on it.

I looked for a couple a few years back and came across 2 that had like 110k and they were around 4500 for asking price.

Either talk him down or keep on looking.

You think a guy would clean his car before snapping photos when trying to sell it.

I think I saw old French fries in the back seat. Lol

Speaking of cleaning a car before pictures, I need to get some pictures taken by a professional. Are you up for a shoot at some point this year, after the drop and some tint?

Yea thats one of the things thats been kinda bugging me. From what i have found though is that unless I go to the west coast or fl there are not very many decent gc's for around my price range. Thats the main reason I was looking at that one. It has kind of low miles, lower than both of my current cars, it has minimal rust and it is a car that I actually like instead of the 3 pos's that I have in my drive way right now.

Hankook RS-3, Dunlop StarSpec Z2, or BFG Rival are the current autocross street tires of choice. All three should cost less than Michelins.

I have the Rivals on my STi, and they grip well and tolerate heat, but the sidewalls are on the softer side. I ran StarSpec Z1s on both my Mazdaspeed3 (3 seasons) and our Mini Cooper S (2 years and going strong, but less autocross). They have great grip and turn-in feel but don't tolerate the heat of multiple drivers well at local events -- we use a water sprayer between runs.
