Did you ever run it on the dyno without the full dump, and, or supertrap on it?

Thanks,

Ian,
Hey Ian, The 44mm MVR gate takes a 1.75" OD tube and I put a SuperTrapp SC Elite 443-2010 4" diameter, 2" inlet, 10" long tune-able muffler on the exhaust. It comes with 12 discs installed and I added 6 more discs to open it up some. The 4" ST muffler can flow up to 250HP of exhaust. So it's able to quiet the EWG exhaust without adding any real back pressure that would affect the performance of venting the gate to atmosphere.

The last time it was on the dyno it made 573whp and 500wtq at 28psi with some fouled spark plugs that I failed to change before that tuning session. It made 300wtq at 3500 and held 550 whp and 400wtq out past 7500rpm. It's garaged now but before I stored it away for the winter I feel (butt dyno) that it was making more power than last the last tuning/ dyno session, so who knows what it's making. It's running very hard, that's for sure!

My bud Angel Ortiz will have his new dyno in February and I'm helping him with the install of it. I have a couple little projects going on with my XTI and we'll see what they yield. We'll put it on the dyno before and after the mods late this winter or early spring to see what the mods yield.

I guess the only way to know for sure what it makes is getting it to the track and run some passes. We'll be ready this spring for some passes, full weight! I'll weigh it before hand.

True on the passes to really see power. What I truly find here in the caribbean, road dyno pulls and using either EcuEdit or Virtual Dyno and chosing factor or 1 or less, give predictable results. I am always perplex to the use of DynoJet high figures, while on the track, less is shown.

Moving on from that, you have highlighted the Dom 3.5 is at its end. Whats next since you are enjoying it so well?

Dyno's are just tools as we all know. The VD DJ settings pretty much match the PnL DJ #'s. So Mustang #'s would be 13% less.

The Dom3.5 is maxed out with the current 8cm housing and my catted DP. That said next up is making more power with what I have!

Thanks man! Yep, I'm from the Detroit area originally and live in Leelanau county now. Angel/ HP Techs is a buddy of mine and we do most of the work on my car there at his shop. You won't see it cruising around the Detroit Woodward scene much. Most folks don't really even notice it or know what it is. Stealth is the word!

Hey Vince, how's your STI running and how do you like the new build with your Dom1.5? Yeah not relly many Fozzy's running around like mine really anywhere. That's one of the things I like about it, kind of unique but functional!

Thanks buddy! So you sold your XT and now have a LGT spec B, very nice car! Meijer's is the only gas station in TC with E85 right now but I am seeing it in more Marathon stations around the state this past year. We'll have to meet up sometime this summer in TC.

Just wanted to say I spent this afternoon reading this entire thread, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think the word awesome is often overused, but sir you have a truly awesome FXT. How do I know? Well I am in awe! I have an '04 XT with nothing more than a first gen Cobb AP stage 1 tune, and can only imagine what it must be like to be able to drive a truly streetable near 600 hp Forester. Many kudos to you and the folks who have helped make this possible.

Thanks for the kind words! We're always looking to make little improvements here and there. I'll be testing a new part for one of our manufactures on the XTI this spring. It's not a big change but the results should be very positive if our estimates are correct.

I've been working on the performance of my lighting recently. Here's a couple of shots of the progress so far.
All of the chrome on the oem reflectors is getting painted OBP Black.

I'm getting a bit antsy now with winter closing down! My converted headlights are being painted as are my bumpers, also got a JDM/ FSTI front lip. Those are the changes on the outside. We're getting ready to test a new part for one of our vendors on the XTI. I think it'll yield good results for a small simple change, we'll see!

I had to buy new bumper covers, my originals where pitted so bad we could not repair them. I will be picking up the new covers from my painter tomorrow and hopefully I'll have the XTI back on the road later next week along with the new HID converted headlights!
