Default STI 2006 Shell - engine option?

Ok here's the deal, I have a 2006 STi but no engine/engine harness/transmission
what would be the cheapest motor to put in?

Cheapest? Buy a used ride-on mower. Cheap 3 HP right there!

Seriously though, the easiest would obviously be the engine and 6-speed from that generation STI.
