Default Looking to upgrade the HIDs in 2011 STI. Suggestions welcome.

I'm looking to get a whiter/brighter/crisper light out put from the low beams on my 2011 STI. The light output from the stock setup is adequate but leaves much to be desired. I've started doing some research on iwsti and hidplanet. Most threads I've read say that the 35w ballasts that are on the car are just fine. However, some recommend upgrading to the Morimoto 55w ballasts for even more light output.

Anyway, here are the setup options I'm considering...

1) Most basic setup:
- OSRAM XENARC 66240 CBI Bulbs

2) Mid range setup:
- OSRAM XENARC 66240 CBI Bulbs
- Clear TSX Lenses

3) Top Setup
- Morimoto 55w DSP HID Ballasts
- Proper 5000k 55w OSRAM bulbs (not sure which ones I'd need)
- Clear TSX Lenses

...
As I said, the current light out put is alright. I'm just looking for something a bit brighter, a bit whiter, and possibly a bit more crisp. However, I'm not extremely picky with it being perfect or 1000x better. If just upgrading the bulbs would accomplish this then that would be awesome. But if the mid range plan or the "Top Setup" are required to achieve this then I'm willing to do that.

Also, does anyone know if the Morimoto 55w ballasts will be a direct swap for the stock ballasts? Meaning, will they mount to the bottom of the headlight just the same?

I'm open to suggestions.

I'm just running with a set of CBI & TSX-R clear lens with a modded cutoff plates & I'm happy. I wouldn't want to upgrade to 50w ballasts because I wouldn't want my eyes to get used to brightness. If I need extra lighting, I just switched on my inner projectors. =)
Also, the Morimoto 50w ballasts are not direct replacement/swap for the oem ballasts.

I contacted Lightwerks through their contact form to give them my situation and see what they thought. I received a response pretty quickly from them saying that they don't recommend upgrading to a 55w ballast because it will burn the bulbs out faster for negligible gain.

He recommended I start with the OSRAM CBI bulbs I linked to and if that didn't cut it to upgrade to the clear projector lenses. He said I should see quite a big difference with the bulb upgrade alone so I think I'll start with that.
