It isn't that hard to get up there though, and available year round. A few of my friends just went skiing in VT and both were able to get 12 cans pretty easily. Hopslam around here is a royal pain to get. Everywhere that got it in PA basically sold out same day.

When I moved to San Diego in '99, I never knew it would be such a great place to live when it comes to beer. It's to where I am spoiled. Really, really spoiled, but not in a beer snob way. I don't think any bar around here doesn't have at least Stone IPA and one Ballast Point on tap.

Office party next month at Stone HQ.

Spoiled.

Have you checked out any of the other breweries down there in sd? There are so many good ones, green flash, stone, ballast point, karl strauss, mission brewery, coronado, so many good ones! OC has some good ones too if you ever venture north. If you ever make it up to OC you have to try Bootleggers brewery, their Knucklesandwich Imperial IPA is simply ravishing.

Also SD has EPIC Beer Festival at the end of the year, not as good as some of the other beer festivals that ive been to, but its good nonetheless

After having Sculpin (Which I actually was not that wowed by), Pliny, Jai Alai, Heady, Hop Slam and Zombie Dust, Heady is my favorite. So worth the drive.

On the topic of OC beer spots, went to Slater's 50/50 last night and they wanted $14 for a 10oz pour of Sucaba!

Then I go to a place called The Corner in Huntington today and order a Bear Republic Apex(DIPA), I get a pint and the bill...$10!!

I told the bartender when I left how I wouldn't be back for a $10 IPA, he then said it was supposed to be a 10oz pour! WTF is going on? Are people high?

Nice.

Yep. Both Stone locations, old Green Flash and Ballast Point have been my favorites. There's are some small hole in the wall places like Stumblefoot in San Marcos too. We were going to buy tickets for the beer fest, but did our own BYOB tasting party and BBQ on the same day.

Drinking Lagunitas IPA now. Good deal at BevMo right now. $13.99 a 12 pack.

I'll be there next week for Younger.

It always conveniently pops up when I am visiting for work every March.

Just picked up 2 of The Bruery's Sour In The Rye.

I've actually never had a sour so I'm kind of excited. $20 a pop tho.

My buddy was telling me I should have started with the Tart of Darkness I think. I haven't had a chance to actually try any of the bruery's beers so I'm excited.

It is great, I'll probably stock up on it. Lot of hop aroma which I really enjoy. It was $9.99 (not on sale), Mirror Pond is usually $6.99 on sale.

I'll see if they have it at BevMo next time I am in there.

If you are ever heading past Alpine, CA stop in here:

http://www.alpinebeerco.com/

They have a little diner attached to the brewery that serves great food.

I've got plans to pay them a visit when I'm out there in May.
Their Pure Hoppiness is fantastic! I've got a bottle of Duet and Nelson in the fridge. Looking forward to them as well.
