Default Subaru Concept 13

A guy in the UK feels that Subaru has mucked up the design of the new WRX and has devised a plan to fix it. He explains his ideas in a video on his website at http://www.sterlingsecure.co.uk/rumb...ru/index.shtml.

It's too bad that it appears to be a British-only endeavor.

So he cannot use a microphone properly but he can restyle a production car? Sounds legit

It's all about priorities man. The most genius people have trouble with the simplest things.

That was the gayest thing I've watched in a while. I got tired of barely hearing him. Is this guy any better then a typical whiny nasiocer saying it doesn't look like the concept so I'll never buy a Subaru again?

Based on the thread title I thought subaru was getting into the cargo van business.

So he took the concept car and added CI3 to it with photoshop. I dont expect much, his website isn't anything my sister can put up and his other design concepts look like crap.

Ok yeah I'm a bit of a skeptic...

I support the idea, but the video was not informative, nor convincing.

When I initially skimmed the OP I thought it said Subaru UK intended to redo the styling. When I read it closer I realized: no, this is just some caper by some random bloke who can barely photoshop together a half assed logo. And he seems incapable of recording video with decent sound. But I'm sure he can get cars imported into the country, tune them, and have their bodywork redone to closer match the concept.

What magic? A Sawzall, some weatherstripping and a few hinges and Bob's your uncle.

Reminds me of a kid on Lotus Talk who built his own CNC machine and was going to make his 300zx look like an Evora. Or maybe it was his moms 300zx, I forget. Either way, definitely a few cards short of a full deck.

The design is advancing apace and has attracted more attention.

Meh, bolt on fenders, lights, and a facias aren't going to be nearly enough. The key difference between the concept and production cars that couldn't be recreated without a massive fabrication effort on a car-by-car basis is the sloping roof line and backlight.

Subaru's great sales number puts them in denial in regards to how UGLY their cars are. I would still buy that ugly thing but I'll never be happy about my car's looks.

Default "Less Pussycat, More Tiger"

CBB, you ferret out the most interesting Suburaria. Makes life more interesting so keep this stuff coming.

Liking the Concept 13 but wondering how far a guy can get with a name like RUMBLER. Maybe in the UK the name evokes visions of asphalt-melting burnouts, women and children running for cover and relentless hungry Zombies roaming the streets of London, but over here in the States it sounds kinda lame. BTW, I believe the name RAMBLER's been up for grabs for decades now .. along with Gremlin, Hornet and Pacer. Might be the better option when the "Less Pussycat, More Tiger" peeps begin exporting to America.

That means new front and rear clips, including a redesigned rear diffuser to increase downforce, but a spoiler can be installed if the buyer decides that what he wants. The car won't be an exact replica of the NYIAS concept since that would infringe on Subaru's intellectual property, but it isn't clear yet how the design would be altered. Bond's site says that once he gets 50 confirmed orders, his team will order a WRX and begin the process of creating the new bodywork. It is claimed that once work begins, it will be four to six months to "[present] a completed model for public view."
Someone actually heard him and sat through the entire video, LOL.

I hope his new bumper will be crash tested before it's put into heavy production.
