Are you going to provide pressure differentials and temperature differentials once you are able to test the prototype? This looks super promising and the amount of R&D you guys are putting in I'd amazing, just hoping the efficiency remains high.

Great, b/c the pressure drop is something people often over-look when choosing any intercooler.

When it comes time for fitting to an OutbackXT I am your guy! I promise I'll send it back if it don't fit

Keep up the good work. I know that producing a new product that works is tons of time and energy.

I've been recently wanting to upgrade my TMIC. I almost bought a PW unit until I stumbled across this thread. I have a bunch of GS products and have never been disappointed. I will be patiently waiting for the release and make my decision then. From the looks of it I will be buying the GS unit!

Take your time, do it right. Make it perform well and at an affordable price point and this will be a success!

PS. Do a Group buy for release and also add a thermal coating option! I think it would be pretty awesome to have a white GS logo on the fins of a fully black intercooler!

This is very encouraging to see!! I am pleased with my ProcessWest TMIC, but there are some short comings I see could be addressed. You guys always engineer a great product and the awareness you have for the customer base is second to none! I will def be watching this for a group buy to support more POWER!

Very excited as well! I have a mild bolt-on build finishing up in May, and I'd love to have this accompany the build for the final tune.

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this yet or not, but will this unit be compatible with certain brands of strut tower bars? like gtspec and cusco? maybe perrin?

Hey guys, we're still working on this. Truthfully, things have gotten so crazy over here that we're working very carefully to time production so that we have the welding man hours to get these cranked out as quickly as we can. My production verification cores should be ready in a week or two so that we can do some final testing and get these bad boys rolling.

I am well aware that we're running behind schedule and I really feel badly about it. I know a lot of you are waiting on this as part of your build and we're doing everything we can to get these on the shelves, but as I've said before, we also don't cut corners. What I won't do is lead you guys on. Being that we don't have our own foundry (nobody does), there are parts of this process that are, unfortunately, a bit out of my control and since we're manufacturing domestically, it's not as simple as just 'ordering more intercoolers'. With that said, I've got another meeting with the foundry on Friday and I'll see what I can do about sneaking you guys some pictures of the place. It's pretty badass.

Maybe you can do a random drawing from those subscribed to this thread and give a few away when they are complete? Just tell the accounting department to record it as promotional and advertising expense lol!

But in all seriousness a great product can wait. Unfortunately for you guy's with the changes in the 2015 wrx power plant that may have taken a bite out of the profit margin for this project but who knows!

Haha, I was about to update that thread and then saw that you had already reported the news! I definitely haven't forgotten about you. In fact, I have an LGT specific part ready for release on Monday!

if they'll let you, i would really love to see some photos of the foundry!
(i wish i was allowed to take pictures of the forge we make tooling for, but they get uptight about that.)

are they making the casting dies too? or are you? i'd love to see photos of the dies as well.

thanks for the updates!

We typically work with the mold maker, but through the foundry. Much better to spend a little more but allow them to build the tools that they'll have to use to make us the best parts possible. We're pretty decent engineers, but there's no arguing with someone that's been making casting dies for 30yrs!

My Outback eagerly awaits!

If this thing fits I might just be inclined to only swap out the TMIC and re-dyno it. I run a EWG on my Outback so boost control for the dyno comparison should be easy. [taps fingers] Excellent, Smithers!
