Default New member and new owner of 2011 STI

Greetings all! New members and new STI owner. I was always a Saab guy, as fast as my 9-3 Arc was, this Subaru just blows it away. I have lots of performance goals and parts in mind. Figured I'd sign up and see what I'm missing out on.

Congrats man, I'm totally jealous of the year/color combination. What plans do you have in mind for her? How does she compare to the Saab other than speed?

Well I've come up with a parts list so far, I'm a tad green in the build department but I try to hold my own.

Most of the parts are from Grimmspeed..ironically.

-Grimmspeed divorced downpipe, catless.
-Grimmspeed external wastegate uppipe. I'm trying to find out the difference between going 38mm and 44mm and how each one would benefit me.
-Tial MV-S Wastegate, 38mm if I go that route.
-GrimmSpeed Boost Solenoid
-Will be pro-tuned by a buddy of mine
-Cobb short ram intake (already purchased)
-Haven't decided on which catback exhaust I want yet. Perrin maybe? Not sure.

I've only had the car around 2 months and I love it. Compared to the Saab you ask? Well the stock 9-3 Arc is around 210BHP, granted I never dyno'd it, but between my tuner and parts I added I figured it was around 270BHP. But who knows, that's all speculation.

Handling wise....not even close. STI obviously takes the cake in this category, especially with the AWD pulling me around. The 9-3 Arc I had was FWD unfortunately. The 9-3 had a bit of body roll to it as well, my next step was to drop it a few inches to tighten it up/lose some wheel gap but that's when I got to the point where I said..."why am I spending all this money on making this car faster, and not get something quick to begin with?".

Here is a pic of the Saab. Sold it in 4 days, not bad!

Itís no irony or coincidence, every part you buy from us is chipped and tracked, then I drop in from time to time to make sure you donít stray too far from our product line . I like the sound of the Perrin catback myself, just a bit pricey for my own personal car, if you can swing the $ then you wonít be disappointed. Iím not surprised your Saab sold so quickly, Iíve seen a real resurgence for 9-3ís around my area, maybe Saab just needed to become no-more in order to become more popular? You started with a very strong platform and seem to have a realistic and effective goal in mind, looking forward to seeing a build thread for this one soon!

Welcome! Very nice!

In your first pic, I thought you had window tint that had turned purple but I realized it was just a purple car beside you
