Default 11-14 WRX Hatchback Overlay

Does anyone know a shop that does overlay install in the Bay Area or East Bay?

I tried it the first time with a squeegie and water/soap, and heat gun but I had trouble overcoming the lump on the corner of the outer brake light assembly.

Any recommendations or advice will be appreciated!

+1 for Vinyl Styles in San Carlos. Lyle did an awesome job with my hatch tail overlays and he has diff options of vinyl to choose from. Remember to call ahead of time for an appointment.

^^I believe you have to buy theirs and have them install it; they won't do pre-cut ones...at least that's what I remember when I called a few months back to ask to do mines

I know you are looking for overlay advice, but I just want to provide you with some food for thought; I recommend that you send your taillights to a professional to do the work, specifically Brian aka "Nexson" He has invested in professional grade tools to help him accomplish the job perfectly, and in my opinion is MUCH clearer and reflective/glossy than an overlay, nor does it bubble like an overlay overtime!

To smoothen the process, he is also an Authorized Vendor on IWSTI, so you can expect to buy with confidence!

Here's a link to some of his documented work. As you will see, it's clear that he takes pride in what he does and has been very successful working with the owners on IWSTI...myself included!

I can do them.. It just takes a lot of time. Fist time i did it, i ripped them.. Second time i went a lot slower.. Took me an hour to do it but i got it on, edges were not perfect but you dont even notice it unless your 3 inchs away. That was good enough for me. Btw its easier to do it with the tail lights off the car. I asked around and some places want 50 bucks to do it..

+2 for Vinyl Styles in San Carlos, I've seen his work in person and its great. if you decide to install overlays on your own, watch our installation video a few times it should help. The video is posted on our home page http://www.premiumautostyling.com
