Question New 2011 STI owner!

Hello all!

I am the proud new owner of a 2011 STI and I have a question about a cable from the cieling. I'm new to Subarus and the cable runs from the driver side door to about the rear view mirror. I can't seem to figure out what it's used for unless it plugs into the mirror because the mirror doesn't darken when the button is pressed and the compass feature doesn't seem to work. It's an 8 pin cable with 7 in a circular shape around the outside and one in the center. I will try to upload a picture later

Thanks,
Subinubi

Now that you've got that settled, let's see some pictures of the car itself!

As promised here's a pic of my baby! If anyone knows how easy it is to take the headlights out feel free to message me I would like to give them the demon red eye and I'm not sure how difficult it is to remove them to ship!

Looks very mean, love it! Black on black FTW. I may stand corrected, but I believe there's a bolt from underneath the headlight housing that can only be accessed via removing the bumper skin. Anyone else care to speculate?

From what I've seen in YouTube videos all 2011s have to have the bumper removed to get at the headlights thanks for your input art!

You are correct. On my 12 I swapped out the chrome headlights for some 11 lights. You do have to take the bumper off but it's really easy to take it off.
