I saw a 2015 WRX for the first time in person today. I was behind him at a light. Now that I've seen it for myself I must say that the rear of the car is much more "BMW-ish" than pictures portray it as. I really liked it. Didn't get a clear view of the front of the car but I must say, I was impressed. Now I need to go check one out at a dealer.

I'm positive that the majority of wrx/sti fans will accept the '15 as one of the gang after they see them in person. Especially after they are driven.

First impressions after having mine (Limited CVT) a few days:

1. I love it.
2. The NAV system sucks. Voice command, bluetooth, text messaging, etc feel like 1998 technology. HD radio goes in and out. Turrible.
3. Very stiff and bumpy ride from what I am used to (Just came from '08 Acura TL), but very responsive.
4. "This car corners like it's on rails"..."Can't believe it's only a 4-cylinder" (name that movie...and yes I grew up with older sisters)
5. Engine/exhaust is louder than the 7 cars I've owned, but still more quiet than I expected for the WRX.
6. Visibility is great.
7. Power is either sluggish or balls-to-the-wall. Maybe because I am still babying it in break-in mode.
8. Loose rocks are LOUD under the car.
9. Fit/finish scream economy car, but some nice finishing touches try and confuse you.
10. Steering wheel is legit. (except that cheap silver plastic piece at the bottom)
11. Car is NOT for taller people. I am only 6'1" and I put the seat all the way back, and would still like some more room. Maybe I have giraffe legs...
12. CVT "shifts" are not as pronounced as most automatics. Right now, the "manual" paddle shifter mode to me seems rather pointless.
13. Car (and stock rims) looks much better in person.
14. World.Rally.Blue.Pearl = Orgasmic.
15. This ain't no BMW, Benz, Audi....but damn it's fun.
16. See #1

idk, I'm 6'4", mostly legs, I have no problem with the room in either of my WRX's. My G35 might have had a little more but I can comfortably drive with the seat a few notches up from all the way back, although I usually have it all the way back.

its not a bmw, benz or audi, but you should drive the older ones lol

The owner said it was a test fit for a meet. She won't be keeping it.

I agree, I owned a 2011 WRX Hatch and let me tell you, while I have not even seen one in person let alone drive one, I can testify that for all it's performance (my 2011) I couldn't look past it's super cheap plastic and 16 wheeler shifter feeling tranny. From what I have seen...the interior is HEAD AND SHOULDERS better than the garbage interior of the past.

With that said, I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what parts in the interior are soft touch vs plastic and the plastic looks like higher quality plastic compared to the previous generation or a Toyota for that matter, but what say ye?

Anyone.....anyone.....

My local dealership has one of the World Rally Cross cars in the show room. The thing is pretty damn sweet. I love the wider fenders. I hope there's something coming aftermarket that has a really nice clean look to it. Car could use just a tad meaner stance.

Are there invoice prices for the options or is the price what's on Edmunds? Looking at keyless and short throw on a limited.

You cannot just get the keyless option on the Limited. You have to get the upgraded NAV+Harmon Kardon audio+remote keyless. MSRP for that package on the Limited is $2500. Dealer invoice is $2218.

WRX short throw shifter is MSRP $403 and invoice is $303.

Thanks for sharing man, it seems on the back round it had you bouncing around a good amount. I guess if we want tight handling it will come with a cost lol.

It's OK, I'm use to performance cars anyway.

Lol, never underestimate where I grew up...Hialeah, FL has potholes so big that cars go missing daily lol.

So, the ride is not abusive then...in your opinion? Pulling .94-.96g, it would be understandable but you think it's good overall?

its bumpy, but not torturous. You can feel every road imperfection, for better or for worse

check out the pothole at 3:02 in this vid

btw subaruwrxfan says his 2015 WRX review will be up on youtube around midnight, should be interesting
