Well, I think we found the limit on our entry level kit with the 4854. We through on a MBC last night and played around with a few different settings. This turbo however just seems to run out of steam around the low 300whp mark. Even turning it up to 15psi, we did see a big torque jump, but only gained a couple of ponies. We decided that the car/turbo was happiest around 11-12psi. So that is where the car sits for now. I am sure we could squeeze out some more with E85, but we wanted to push it on 93 for now. So I still think this is a great set up for anyone wanting that 280-300whp range. Honestly, at this power, the car is perfect. Still easy to drive, predictable, and not annoying, so it is still fun as a DD. Otherwise, I would really step up to the 5858. I would bet we could make 330whp+ with much lower boost levels. That will come soon.

Looking good! How do you think the stock motor will hold up to these or higher boost levels? I would love to own a BRZ but just cant get over the weak 200hp nonsense..

Its still kind of hard to tell being that they are still so new, but from what I see, 350-400whp should be pretty dang reliable for a daily. However, I know of a few over 500whp with 25-30k hard miles and have been fine. You are going to be pretty limited boost wise on pump gas because of the higher compression, usually around 330-350whp, but with E85, the sky is the limit. Highest stock block saw 604whp, so they are pretty stout.

350rwhp from that should be a real nice street car!

Was that a complete custom turbo kit by you guys or did you pick up an available aftermarket kit?
