That idle torque is ridiculous.

A 1% loan would be about $2500 over 60 mos.

Profit after 5 years by investing instead of paying cash on a depreciating asset? $11.5k if invested properly.

IMHO? Buy a $30k car for cash and invest the other $70k. You can thank me later.

The first option he suggested involved buying the vette.. just financing it. Loans are crazy cheap right now. Dropping a huge sum of money into a depreciating asset when you can make a much smaller down payment and finance it for 6 years while you invest the rest is foolish. After 6 years you could have a Ducati to park next to the Corvette.

That's not "idle torque" . That's full load torque at very low speed, something that can only be achieved on an engine dyno. Ok, you might get it in 7th gear driving uphill with a fat chick riding shotty

It's like manufacturers advertising all that 1600rpm torque in their turbo engines. That's steady-state torque. You don't actually get that torque when you decide to floor it in a vehicle unless you are towing or lugging in top gear.

I think they'll hold their value a little more... so, I'll give you "half" of what he paid for it, but not a third.

I am going to really take a leap of faith and guess that this car will be really really absurdly fast. Espescially on track with the sticky tire package.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Easy there, killer. That's a hell of a stretch to say this early; this thing doesn't even have VTEC.

Either they do, or the car just goes fast enough that they break and fold flat from the wind resistance anyway. Probably. I don't know much about aerodynamics.

Right on, but it's effectively off idle and it's still awesome. I would need lifetime free rear tire replacements for that thing.
