Default HELP HELP 4eat in limp mode after build

i did some research but didnt find anything that i have not tried yet. just did a full engine build with stg 2 cams and upon the first drive, the trans feels as if it starts in first and goes to third at roughly 8mph.... before the build everything was perfect, solid shifts, all gears were working and felt like butter.

what would cause this if the trans wasnt touched? 120k on trans but how would it go bad while it wasnt used?

Have you tried shifting it manually through the gears?

Recheck all your harness connections and make sure you connected the trans fluid cooling lines back up correctly.

Any CELs?

Google "p0778 subaru" and a bunch of stuff comes up.

By any chance, did the trans fluid pan get dented or anything during your build?
