Torque overload!!! The torque in first and second gear is crazy high and that is what causes the bounce/jerk.

As the clutch wears down the torque jerk will too.

Meaning when you're going through a parking lot at slow speeds 1st or 2nd gear and the car starts doing that god awful jerk like there's horrible clutch play happening, and the only way to stop it is to disengage the clutch.
I used to have problems with this. You can get around it by being smart with the throttle. Next time try to keep throttle changes (especially letting off the pedal) minimal and gradual. Do *not* let off and then give it gas again immediately (or vice versa) . I've actually never had to let the clutch out because of it before, if it happens I generally give it a tiny amount of throttle and try and hold it there until it stops bucking.

I ordered mine at the end of Feb. received it June 6.

red wrx limited.

coming from a STI I was a bit worried it was not going to be a good idea, but the chassis is so much stiffer than the last gen, and the suspension is greatly improved as well. very pleased.

The 2015 is a grown up car, for sure. So much more refined than the older generations. I'm diggin' it.

Any other questions, I was real nervous making a jump from my sti to the Wrx but don't regret it. And the extra money saved on insurance helped that decision.
I really considered going for an sti this go around, especially since I always get the lust for one. But common sense and practicality won out. Plus with the amount of mileage I can put on a car driving back and forth to Washington, I'd like just a wee bit better in the gas mileage and cruising department. Cruising around town isn't a biggie since its so rare.

And the insurance thing was also a big factor.

It does go away when I get into 1st gear for the most part.

I'll try and remember that the next time it starts doing that. Its awful because I feel like a milkshake and its like I'm just driving for the first time

I really appreciate the input from y'all.

Anyone interested in Electric Driver seat?

I am not a fan of electric seats and will be looking to swap brackets with a stock or premium WRX.

Also should be getting some hot off the press parts for mine soon. Plus some more custom mud flaps from Gorilla Offroad.

Just so we are clear. Just swapping the Rails/base. I am keeping the leather seats.

I will post up once the car is here.

I had an 04 Jetta GLI. Loved the car, it was fun and I'll probably miss it but with 180k miles on its little engine, it was time for me to move on

Got my red premium 6spd Saturday. It is much more relaxed and nicer to drive than my overly modified 11 hatch. But no hatch :'(. Anyone else notice boost is ridiculously easy to build with light throttle or was I just used to my old tweaked throttle mapping and this is how the GRs were too?

It is awesome, made to feel even more by two things.

1. throttle control is a bit wonky, give it 50% throttle input and it goes WOT.
2. at WOT (50% throttle input) it hits peak boost of 20+ psi then it aggressively ramps down boost.

The only thing that sucks about it is at part throttle you think there's more throttle to go and you put your foot down and there's nothing more to go.

An access port can fix the throttle issue when it comes out.

I wouldn't call it an issue, since it's how Subaru intended the stock throttle mapping to be.

^ Well the only thing that worries me about that is that how fragile we hear the late wrx/sti's have been. Cracking a ring landing or rings letting go on a bone stock car with less than 10k miles is not what I would call well tuned. Unless Subaru has been putting significantly weaker pistons in or bad knock sensors, I would say this is tuning issue.

I had that same thing happen to me the first time I filled it up. Had to crank on the lever several times then go out and check if it was open. By the third round of lift lift lift check it was finally open. Not good for practicing my Le Mans fuel stops at QT :/

Maybe we have to hold it like the trunk release button.
