Default Where to buy STI front axles?

I have a 2004 STI and when installing coilovers ripped the outer boot on the front passenger side axle. I have been looking online for a new one but can really only find WRX ones. Does anyone know where to buy STI axles other than the dealer bc I don't want to spend $400 on an axle right now.

Replace the boot, it's a lot cheaper and the OEM axles are way better.

Okay. Do you know where I can get the oem boot? And what is everything I would need to replace the boot? Never done it before and I've been told once the boot rips the inside gets contaminated and it's no good.....

If you drive in deep sand call it contaminated. Much better to keep your oem axle - hear lots of replacement problems. And costs more.

Visit your local Subaru dealer, kit costs $40 includes a silicon boot, grease and bands. Get a new axle nut ($4). Ask them for a nasioc discount.

You'll need to remove the axle, and then take apart the CV joint.

Breaker bar or impact gun
32mm socket and torque wrench good to 160 ft lbs (for the axle nut)
assortment of box end wrenches, ratchet and hand tools

Search nasioc for how-to. Done this job x2 and helped a friend replace his and took us a couple hours taking our time.

Btw, second thread I've seen you mention your torn boot while takin off stock suspension...

Next time unbolt the endlink from the control arm, it'll allow for more play.
