Ordered RokBlokz instead of Rally Armors this go round because I wanted to save a little money and also try them out. First impressions are they are a lot stiffer than the Rally Armors but still flexible. I'm a little worried about the ice and snow we get here in South Dakota and how these will hold up but they say they will not break in hot or cold climates.
The Install
Disclaimer: This is not a replacement of RokBlokz install and should be used in conjunction with RokBlokz install instructions. Don't PM me if this install leads you to put 2 big bottles of NOS on your car and blow it up. (These always crack me up on how tos but I guess there are those people out there.)
RokBlokz sends you a few pages on how to install that you can get through the install with but the pictures are black and white and some areas a vague, especially the rear. I made it through though.
Tools Needed:
Small Flathead for factory removal. I used a pocket flathead for removal but you can choose whatever you want.
Phillips head screwdriver for installing hardward
Microfiber towel (Cleaning before installing stickers)
Your color choice of Plasti Dip or Paint (optional if you want to paint the hardware)
Breaker Bar
Torque Wrench
19mm Socket for Lugnuts (can use your spare tire equipment if needed)
An experienced car enthusiast not scared to get his hands dirty. Lucky for me, I have one that lives with me.
First thing is to ensure you have the correct items needed for install, heres a pic
If you want to paint, pull the hardware out and paint it. (If Plastidipping, I would just do it on the car after the install and remove any excess after it dries, I didn't do it this way and just touched up the parts after install)
